Question Gingerbread Davinci Syrup Question

I read a post about the OMM and gingerbread DS and had to try it. Well, I'm just a little disappointed. I was expecting a stronger flavor. I used one tablespoon (like I did with the carmel flavor which gave a great flavor) and it did not taste much like gingerbread. The syrup itself does not even smell very strong. Any one else have this experience?

Welcome, LCer.

That IS an unusual experience. I've found that the DaVinci syrups generally have a VERY strong flavor, sometimes more than I want. I often cut down on the amount of DV (and add a flavorless artifical sweetener) in a given recipe.

Wonder if you got a bad bottle?

I'm wondering the same thing. I think I will contact them and see what they say. If it is the case, I'm sure others would have contacted them also.

I've made the gingerbread muffin and found it had lots of flavour. I'm agreeing with Maggie that you must have gotten a bad bottle.

How much syrup did you use? I made it again with the 1 T. and then added cinnamon and ginger and I liked it better. I think I also need to add another package of sweetner to get it sweet enough. Maybe 2 T. of the syrup?? What about the extra liquid then. (I have another post about that under the OMM thread.)
