Thumbs up LC Frozen Margarita

Made these last night and they turned out pretty good. Nice evening for sitting on the patio

*1 can diet lemon/lime soda
*1/8 cup lime juice (fresh or bottled, I used the bottled Nettie & Joe's)
*1 stick or tube of SF lemonade drink mix (the small ones you add to a bottle of water)
*10 ice cubes (I used crushed from my ice dispenser)
* 2 jiggers of tequila which is 3 oz. OR desired amount of tequila

I blended it in my Magic Bullet. If you use the Bullet, use your largest container. This recipe makes two nice frozen ritas. Just make half the recipe if you want only one. You could also switch the lemonade for strawberry drink mix and throw a couple of fresh strawberries in there.

Enjoy!

That looks wonderful and refreshing for my back deck! Thank you for sharing your recipe. Might have to try it one day in the not too distant future.

Sounds great, do you have a count handy on these? I know, I could probably calculate it myself, but if you have it...

I am approximating this entire recipe to be around 240 calories and 6 carbs. I'm counting all zero carb & calories ingredients as 1 each. The yield of this recipe is two nice size margaritas with a little extra left over.

So, to answer your question HeatherRene, 120 calories and 3 carbs per rita! Not too bad.

Interesting recipe. I'm not a tequila fan. Told dh we need to make one with whisky and call it a Whiskerita. Hmmmmm.........might have to try it.

Baja Bobs also makes a good sg margarita mixer. I get mine at Meiers for $3.99 a bottle.

Lisa, which Baja Bob's mixer did you use? We had the Desert Key Lime, not big fans of that one.
