I recently discovered Low Carb Cookworx on a new cable channel called Create. It is hosted by the Eades. (Protein Power) I think these shows were filmed in 2004, but I don't care as long as they show them. My DVR is filled with their episodes (as well as knitting shows, LOLOL) The show seems to be airing on Saturdays here. If you get this channel, it would be well worth trying to search when it's on. It's fun to see them working together and to here about their recipes. One of these days I need to sit down with pen and paper and write the recipes down.

One interesting thing they talked about in one episode was that Celeriac (Celery Root) is a fabulous sub for potatoes. I am dying to try this out if I can find a store that stocks it. I may have to make a trip out to Whole Foods just for this. They prepared it just like mashed potatoes. I wonder if it can be fried up like sliced potatoes or hashed browns. I MISS my hashed browns. I also wonder if they would cook up like fries.

OH...........the gears are turning now!

not that i know of, but i don't know half of the ones they have and they change the channels we get here constantly, so i'll have to specifcially check and watch for it. heck, i've been known to call my daughter out of her room or get DH to come and help me at times when I can't get the TV to do what I want... we've got two billion channels and a dvr and sometimes, it just won't cooperate...

LOL Dix! You sound like my DH. He has NO idea how to work the remotes, which ones or for what unit, etc. Although, he's been getting an education with the DVR one. I sit and knit when we watch TV, and he's taken pity on me when we're watching something recorded.(which I'VE programmed in) He'll zip through the commercials (sometimes-if he's not engrossed in the commercial) while my needles are going, so I don't have to stop what I'm doing. If he's gotten sucked into the commercial, I'll say, "Ya wanna f-forward?"

Anyhoo, You got it Henry! Create is a channel that has repeats of shows from PBS stations. I can't believe I tripped across the Michael and Mary show. It was quite the find!!!!!
