| Maybe. (I do have this book.) Sorry to be so vague, but it depends on the recipe and what quality given by the soy protein isolate is needed to get to the final product. For sure, soy flour will never work. It's a very different ingredient, and has a strong flavor, unlike the isolate. Other protein isolates, like whey protein isolate may work. Wheat protein isolate might make the final product too tough. Coconut flour might work in many recipes. Almond flour is much grainier, so might not work in every case. It very much depends on the recipe. The best way to answer this question is ask: What's the recipe in question. Also, changing ingredients will generally result in a different nutritional analysis.
