Lit my charcoal grill and BBq'd a cheap 16 ounce sirloin steak that I got off the last day of sale rack for $1.56. it was surprisingly good and not tough. Not as tender as say a ribeye but for the price I couldn't beat it. I have half left over and will have make steak pizzaiola with dreamfields pasta for an early supper.

I'm going to try Donna's shrimp and coleslaw dinner-I have some Chinese 5 spice powder and Tamari to throw into the mix. Dessert will be either fresh blueberries or strawberries.

BBQ sounds good, Rob, and I have to run out in a bit. It's going to be another beautiful day here, so I think I'll grab some BBQ supplies for tonight myself.

Tonight, as I begin a "clean out the refrigerator" period, I am fixing a lettuce salad, grilled steak w/baked whole vidalia onion, and twice baked fauxtatoes.

Dinner will be grilled steak, baked whole Vidalia onion, twice baked fauxtatoes, and a yet to be determined veggie, depending on what looks good at the store.

LOL @ mab! We're still working on the leftovers from the cookout the other day. The steak is gone (it was YUMMY!), but we still have plenty of burgers and hotdogs left. So I'll dig out some veggies later and we'll be set.

After all the terrible things I ate while camping on the weekend...I shouldn't eat again for about a week! I'm pretty sure tonight will be some type of green salad. I have to go home and see what's left in the fridge first.

it worked! i will never again be able to eat a serving of cottage cheese without thinking of you, mab! in fact, when i look in my fridge and see the cottage cheese now, i automatically think, "Ah, there's some Mab food."

On dinner over here, I'll probably milk the cookout leftovers another night. But I may cook up my stuffed mushrooms, too, because they need to be cooked soon or the mushrooms will go bad, so that will probably be a side. (Stuffed with sausage and cream cheese...very good and very easy.)

My dinners lately have been boring....

Tonight I'm having spaghetti squash with fontina cheese and chicken thighs with tropical mustard dip.

We leave tomorrow for a long Memorial Day visit with our son and his family. That means the refrigerator is looking very empty. Tonight I will have some roast pork, the last of the zucchini carbonara, and broccoli.
