| ok i am wanting to make some fresh greenbeans from the garden was telling hubby to get me some hamhocks he did not know what they was (and he is the country boy and i am the city girl) lol i always use saltpork but my mom would use hamhocks and i been dieing for some anyways i know a ham hock is some part of the leg of a hog is it ankle knee hip someone let me know please my mom inlaw about died when i asked her and told her i wanted to cook them in my beans she yelled YOU DONT WANT HOG FEET IN YOUR BEANS! LOL thanks for the help anyone ever cook them in your beans if so what do you do ? 3/22/02 425 9/5/03 355 |

| LOL KS!!!!! ![]() And it is so good to see you!!!!!!!!!! ![]() You know I am right next door in WV and ham hocks are big here too! LOL! And they are great in beans!! But I don't know what part they are! I mainly responded to say "hi" and "look at those numbers girl"!!!!! Congrats hon! | Hamhocks are delicious! Before my LC days if I was making a big pot of beans I would add the hocks at the start of cooking. With green beans, since they don't cook for hours on end I would say put the hocks in some water and boil them for several hours then add your fresh green beans.
