Hi all,
Boy, do I miss the product reviews section! I'm missing cold, crunchy breakfast cereal. What kinds have you folks tried? Which ones do you think are the tastiest?

Also, has anyone tried the Atkins bun mix? What did you think?

Thanks in advance,
Aderyn

Aderyn, I haven't used it so I'm sorry that I can't help.

Anybody tried it, let us know!

try the pumpkin granola from this forum--Sharron Long's recipe--it's fantastic and works great as a cold cereal --especially with cream!

The Atkins bun mix is absolutely nasty!!! My DH and I like the OSoLo brand of buns...they are decent. I can get them at my local store, but if you can't find them, you can order from their website. Their muffins are incredible, too.

Atkins has an almond cereal out that's actually pretty decent, at least if it's been six months since you've had any cereal at all. It won't replace golden grahams any time soon and, at $5.99 a box it's not going to be my every day breakfast, but I've enjoyed getting up and pouring a bowl and not feeling like I'm cheating (too much).

The Atkins banana-nut muffins are good but the other varieties were pretty mediocre. Atkins also has some chocolate muffins/bread mix that aren't too shabby although they are dry and crumbly. My wife works at GNC and they carry most of this stuff so we've tried it as it comes out. The muffins definitely aren't for induction though, and should be used sparingly even during OWL.

Good eating!

I agree with Ouis~

The pumpkin granola is fabulous for a breakfast cereal and much more economical.
