Does anybody have a recipe for a mock danish made with ground flax seeds? I tried one earlier this summer and loved it, but now I can't find my recipe.

This is what I use:

3 ounces cream cheese
1 egg
2 tablespoons DaVinci SF Danish Pastry syrup
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon flax meal

I soften the cream cheese in the microwave first, then beat in the egg, then add the other ingredients one at a time - MW on High 3 minutes (YMMV depending on the wattage of your MW - mine is only 700 watts) and then I turn it out onto a plate and top with a pat of butter, and sometimes a little flavored SF syrup too.

Love this stuff!

Don't squat with yer spurs on!

Just made the mock danish-It was great. I used SF amareto syruo and about 1/2 tsp of cinammon. I cooked it in a 16 oz chili bowl. Topped with a little butter and a little more syryp.

A great taste treat.
