How do you know how much of a dry ingredient to use when the recipe calls for it in ounces? For example I have a recipe that calls for 1 ounce of a dry ingredient. Would that be equivalent to? Sorry if this is a dumb question! Thank you. Karen

Dry ingredients all have different weights.. An ounce of parsley is going to be much different than an ounce of flour. Your best bet is to spend $5-$10 on a small kitchen scale with a lift-off dish. What are you trying to measure out 1oz of? (296/226.5/135) 04/01/03 The Downward Spiral Begins

It calls for Vital Wheat Gluten. I have one of those scales, maybe I'll see what 1 ounce of it looks like.
