I remember reading a really easy recipe using either cocoa or unsweetened chocolate to make sort of a reese cup type candy. It seems as though it only had a few ingredients. Does anyone have that recipe? Thanks.

bevben...sorry I cannot help you with this one...I don't remember it, but I had to pop on here and say hello to another fellow West Virginian! And I know Alderson is a bit away from it, but I just had to tell you I went to Alderson-Broaddus College!!

I don't think it was ever posted on this forum, but I did mention that I have such a recipe. Email me if you would like it

Hello PAmom. It's nice to here from someone else in West Virginia. From what I've been told you went to a great college.

This might be the one your looking for. I copied off this sight about a week ago. I haven't tried them yet but they do sound wonderful!

Peanut Butter Cups

1 stick unsalted butter
1 square unsweetened bakers chocolate
4 Tbs. natual peanut butter
2 tsp. light or heavy cream
1/3 cup Splenda (pourable) or ( use 6 packets)

Melt butter, chocolate, and splenda over low heat. Remove from heat, add penaut butter and cream. Pour into foiled lined muffin cups and freeze.

MFarm!

I made these yesterday. WooHOOO!!! Dangerously delicious things, aren't they?

I decided I'd better keep them in the freezer as they are just too temping to keep in in view.

I made them in silver foil cupcake holders, so they look just like Reeces Peanutbutter cups.

I might reduce the butter next time and increase the chocolate a bit.

Hey what if I added nuts or unsweetened coconut (even though it contains peanut butter). Just the thought makes my mouth water.

Using mfarm's recipe above, (choosing 6 packets of splenda rather than 1/3 c. granualr splenda), this is the nutritional break down I got:

6 servings

238 calories
24 g fat
12 g saturated fat
45 mg cholesterol
4 g carbohydrate
.7 g fiber
3.4 g protein

So, I count them as 3 g net carbs each.
