Hi!

I made Sharron's Pumpkin Granola this morning. Boy does the house smell good!!

I don't have any Stevia Plus, so I just used Splenda where it called for Stevia... but then decided the granola could be a little sweeter. (It still is great, just was thinking it needed a little extra sweetness). Do Stevia and Splenda convert one to one? Or did I goof?

Thanks!

no, they really don't. I use them synergystically (sp?) -- the two together are sweeter than either one alone.

You can go ahead and toss a couple more packets onto the cooked granola and stir it in. Works just fine. Would you believe the last 2 times i made it i forgot to even put the sweetener in at all

Blessings!

Thanks Sharron.

And yes, I would believe that. It's is amazing to me how sensitive to sugar I've become.

I just had another serving of the granola today and it tasted great. Maybe I don't need more sweetener after all!

Thanks

I've noticed that my cookies seem to be sweeter the day after their baked since I've started using Stevia powder. Is it just me??

yes, they are definitely sweeter as they cool. that seems to be part of the synergystic effect I mentioned. Always wait to judge a recipe till after it is cooled.

try telling that to three munchkins!!!

Blessings!
