| No one in my household is on a low-carb diet (dh and our kids), and I'm having my folks over for Thanksgiving Dinner. My parents are on WW diet, and I know my dad won't part with the dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy, and hot rolls...carbo-heaven--eek! I know I'll eat turkey and green beans, but what else would be festive and yet still within the induction phase limits? |

| I plan on making spinach/broccoli bake, LC pumpkin cheesecake, cauli-mash in addition to all the high carb crap everyone else eats. (296/220/135) 04/01/03 The Downward Spiral Begins |

| You can make homemade cranberry sauce using Splenda; I've made it that way for a couple years and no one is the wiser. You can make a pumpkin pie using ground nuts/butter/Splenda for the crust - I like it BETTER! You can make gravy using a vegetable gum thickener, such as guar or xanthan gums, or try some Thicken Thin Not/Starch - it's good and easier to blend. How about a green bean casserole using dry onion soup mix and sour cream? Very tasty. I also make the mashed cauliflower recipe you'll find on these boards. We like ti BETTER 'n mashed potatoes. Now stuffing is a tough one, I'm just not going to eat any of it. Try serving a couple veggies too, like steamed or oven-roasted broccoli or red peppers, or a combo. Really tasty! HTH.... | Collection of Holiday recipes Maybe some of these will help? I'm currently "brewing" on a stuffing recipe. If it comes out before T-giving, I'll let y'all know. I do know, though, that some have used the flax muffins as a base, as some have used LC bread... As Char said, the cranberry sauce is easy, just sub out the sugar for Splenda and use the recipe on the baggie they come in Blessings!
