WOWSERS!!!!! I just bought some OsoLO Lo-Carb Sweet Rollz from Trader Joe's. I cut one in half (horizontally-like a bagel) and popped it in the toaster and buttered it. Then I whipped up some cinnamon and "sugar" and sprinkled that on the buttered bun (roll). I think I've died and gone to heaven!!!! I made the cinnamon and "sugar" with 2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 TBS. erythritol, 1/8 tsp. Stevia and 2 pkts of Splenda. OH..........was that good!!!!! And the best part is that the rolls only has 3.3 carbs per. It contains: Water, gluten, flaxseed, canola oil, veg. fiber, inulin, yeast, 2% or less of each of the following: natural and artificial flavor, salt, cinnamon, datem (whatever that is??), sodium stearoyl lactylate (whatever that is??), potassium sorbate (as preservative), acesulfame potassium, sucralose, l-cysteine, ascorbic acid. The calories are such: 150 per roll; fat: 9g (1.5 saturated); cholesterol: 0; sodium: 150mg; carbs: 10g, 7g fiber; protein: 12g. I am heading back over to TJ's to get some various things, and am going to pick up another package or 2. I think they were $1.99 for a package of 4. Not a bad price, eh? If you have a Trader Joe's near you, I would go see if they have them. If they don't, since it's an item another one already carries, I'll bet they could get them for you. I have a package of the plain ones too, but haven't tried them. This was too good to keep to myself!!!!!!

My grandma is the one that introduced me to cinnamon toast when I was a little girl. And boy have I missed that!

Hopefully I'll find this gem in a store out here.

Thanks for sharing Barb!

"My" TJ's doesn't even have Soy Slender yet! But I've put in a request, so I'll do likewise on these buns - thanks Barb!

Oh, I posted this in Atkins OWL forum too and gave their website, but forgot to post it here:
www.osolo.com Maybe if you can't find them in stores, they can ship direct. I went back and bought 3 more pkgs of the cinnamon raisin and 2 more of the plain. WOOHOO no more burgers without a bun, YIPPPPEEEE!!!! They also like to take local health food store info at their website to get new clients. If you give them the names and addresses of yours, maybe they can get them to carry it........just a thought.

Char, My TJ's only carries the Vanilla Soy Slender, not the chocolate. It is fine in a pinch. I just add cocoa powder to it. Hope they can get it for you!!!!

I tried their muffins once. Didn't care for them at all. I have tried the rolls that are like hamburger buns and they weren't bad. I think their products are better warmed or toasted.

Sounds like you've found yourself a winner Barb!! Thanks for the review!

I really liked the Osolo Pumpernickle and Sour Dough buns, and I would happily buy them again. Alas, I have not seen them at Trader Joes. The only place I've seen Osolo buns was at Castus, which is in the next county.

I hope my local Trader Joes picks up the Osolo line!

Terry,

Go in and ask them to carry them OR see if they can special order them for you. While I was at mine, buying MORE, I saw a lady buying LC corn chips with Flax seeds, (TJ's Soy with flaxseed, very good!!) and nearby were the Osolo buns. I immediately told her about them, so she grabbed a box. I figure, the more people that buy them the longer they'll carry them. If it's a really popular item, why would they discontinue it?

Your right Barb, it couldn't hurt to ask! I like the soy/flax corn chips. The La Tortilla tortillas are so popular, you have to get there early in the day before Trader Joe's is sold out. One of the clerks said he didn't understand why they didn't order more, as they run out of them so frequently.

I suppose it might be that they actually carry the OsoLO rolls, but run out before I get there.

BARB! I found them!

A new low carb store opened locally - I got a box each of the Cinnamon, Banana Walnut, Sourdough, and Pumpernickel - the Cinnamon and Babana Walnut are EXCELLENT split, toasted, and buttered or spread with cream cheese. The pumpernickel made a terrific sandwich with leftover roast pork. I wasn't AS impressed with the sourdough (not as "sour" as I'd like) but all in all, I'd definitely buy 3 out of the 4 again! A bit pricey at $4.99 for 4 bunz but this new store was high on everything!

So thanks for the review, I might not have tried them at that price without your nod of approval first!

Super!! I found a store that carries these over near where I work. Bought the cinnamon and the sourdough. They were $2.49 for a box of 4. Not too ugly for occasional use. We loved the cinnamon, toasted with butter or warmed and spread with a bit of cream cheese. The sourdough were ok. They worked for sandwiches, but really weren't anything to write home about.... maybe better toasted or something. I'll definitely buy them again.

Char, whoa, I can't believe the price you paid. Mine were $1.99/4 at Trader Joe's. WOW, I feel REALLY good about that price now.

Ginger, definitely toast them. I think it helps the flax in them to taste better.

Barb, I filled out a request card at "my" Trader's so maybe they'll get them in.

In the meanwhile, I found an online source at $2.34 a box so ordered up a bunch! Also they had the Italian flavor, haven't tried that one yet.

Another site had Onion too but they were more expensive ($2.39!) so I bought them at the cheaper place, which also offered free shipping for orders over $50 - sigh. You just can't TEMPT a Scottish gal with that kind of stuff! So I also ordered up some more Twist and stuff.... LOL!
