I am on induction and am looking for a quick "meal" on the go. I love the shakes, but Atkins are really expensive. I saw the brand Advant EDGE and they only have 1 net carb per shake. Are these legal?

Yep. JMHO, but the vanilla ones are not very pleasant; chocolate was much more pleasing to me. Again, just my opinion; I've heard others say the opposite

Glad to see this posted. I have wondered about those for a long time. Sometimes I am on the road with my daughter and need to eat my bf or lunch. I was afraid these were like the other bars with hidden carbs of like 18 that would not be good for me.

Blessings,

Carol

Carol,
Sorry I didn't mention this above, but with any convience food, use them on rare occasion. Real food is always the better choice, unless it's not a possibility.

Just wanted to add my .02:

Tried the chocolate shake and really liked it. I think it was the cheapest shake I was able to find at Walmart. Don't remember the exact price, but it was cheaper than Atkins.

Started Atkins on 9/20/03

Heehee Shelley...I'm one of the "others"...I usually prefer vanilla when it comes to these shakes. And yes, the shakes are as a rule much "safer" than the meal replacement bars when it comes to hidden carbs. I always keep one in the frig for that quick meal or snack on the go.
