| Now that I'm in OWL I want to try pasta. If you have tried pasta, I'd like to know your likes and especially your dislikesbefore purchasing a box. Thanks! ~Jan 247/232/130ish? | I got the Pastalia fettucine. I thought it was disgustingly soy-tasting and very, very rubbery, despite following the cooking instructions to a T. I just stick with spaghetti squash now. | Bella Vita is pretty good - has rice flour but the carb count is the same as Darielle. |

| I haven’t tried them all but so far, my favorite is the cheese ravioli from Monterey Pasta co. You can get it at Costco and the flavor and texture is very good. I cook mine longer than the package says and make sure the pasta is completely cooked through and soft. Does it taste exactly like regular pasta? Of course not. But is it decent? Yes. Very little soy taste to me and husband (and he hates soy tasting stuff) especially once you get your sauce on it. I would highly recommend trying it. | Wow, Marcie, I'll have to try that! I nearly went to work for them a few years back. NICE people over there (about 20 minutes drive from where I live) and pre-LC I used to LOVE their pastas and sauces. Hadn't checked for a low-carb version - thanks for the heads-up! | I have only tried the Bella Vita so far, but I thought it was acceptable. The texture was a little off, but fairly al dente and tasted just fine with sauce and cheese on it (I used rotini and made a sort of baked spaghetti, layered with sauce, parmesan, and mozzarella). Aderyn |

| PS: However, I always did like brown, whole-wheat pasta, so that was my comparison, not the lighter, white type. |

| Like Aderyn, I also layer the penne pasta I get from Trader Joe's with LC sauce, cooked chicken, pepperoni, mozzarella, and repeat - then add a bit of parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. My DH likes it better than the non-LC pasta bake I make!!! Remember I Cor. 13 - charity never faileth. |
