Hi all!

I am wanting to make one of the cheesecakes listed on the site (no egg cheesecake) and was wondering how I would successfully add an ingredient to the cake. I want to add maybe an unsweetened baking square to satisfy a chocolate craving or a T or t of cocoa powder (don't have unsweetened). How would I add this successfully? Would I need to add some extra liquid like whipping cream or something? I am not a chef and don't know how to do this. Thanks

Neicy, I'm not much of a cook, so I'll bump this up for someone else to see.

However, I don't think adding a square of baking chocolate or a tablespoon of cocoa would necessitate adding extra liquid. Let's see what the pros would do.

Neicy,

You can add unsweetened chocolate, or cocoa powder to cheesecake batter; I do it all the time. Be sure to cool the chocolate a bit after melting; or use unsweetened cocoa. I also up the sweetener. Oh, and add the carbs to the final count.

Sometimes, when I make lc cheesecake, I save some of the batter out, add cocoa to it (and a bit more Splenda), then kind of blob the chocolate batter on top of the regular stuff in the pan. I then swirl it around with a knife, and get chocolate marble cheesecake. The best of both worlds! I don't add anything else to the chocolate part, and it bakes just fine.

Let me know how it works for you, OK?

Add this in:

I have a mocha cheesecake recipe that you can have if you'll send me an email if you don't want to experiment

Trina -- that sounds divine
