I will be able to order a few syrups from Netrition and asking for your help

I can only get 3 but not sure which ones are more important to get right now. I keep looking at them over and over and changing my mind. Any help?

Thanks!

Blessings,

Carol

Goodness, that would be a tough choice limiting it to three! Although, come to think of it, that's how many I got the first time I ordered from Netrition. Those flavors were Vanilla, Caramel and Almond (I'm going to get Amaretto instead the next time.)

I have about 20 flavors and honestly, I only use about 2-3 frequently. Stick with the basics and save exotic flavors for later.

My favorites are…

French Vanilla
Hazelnut
Caramel

Others good ones are…

Vanilla
Irish Cream
English Toffee
Almond

I prefer the French Vanilla to the regular vanilla because it has a more “vanilla-y” flavor but regular is fine too.

Good luck!

I use it in my coffee every afternoon for a wonderful treat. I use the B52 and it is fantastic.

Personally I couldn't live without the chocolate! And DH uses strawberry every day in his flax meal/psyllium husk "cereal" he likes.

The third one I'd not like to do without is the Pancake Syrup. It's the only one that requires refrigeration. We use it a lot not only for our Atkins-friendly pancakes and french toast, but also as an ingredient wherever maple syrup or honey might be called for.

There is a pecan pie recipe posted around here someplace that calls for SF pancake syrup and I'll be using DV!

If you like eggnog, you might consider that flavor too - it's good mixed with half and half!

I have tried about 10 flavors. My personal choices are French vanilla, Amaretto, and Rasberry (I love rasberry anything.) These all go great with seltzer for a great soda. The Amaretto is very good mixed with whipped cream and frozen for about 10 minutes.

Enjoy

It depends on what you think you'll do with them. I would pick different flavors for cooking, coffee, making soft drinks, and so forth.

I like the fruit flavored ones because I miss fruit (I eat a little, still, but used to eat LOTS). I've tried raspberry, cherry, and peach and like them all--would probably rank in that order.

For coffee, my three favorites, in order, are hazelnut, German chocolate, and English toffee (with caramel and German chocolate *very* close runners-up).

For soft drinks, I like raspberry, cherry, and German chocolate (that probably sounds odd, but I make cream sodas with it).

For cooking, I'd pick vanilla, gingerbread, and either caramel or German chocolate (of what I've tried so far).

I would have a hard time ranking the ones I like best in Mock Danish; I really like them all in this!

German chocolate is really balanced with tones of coconut, pecan and chocolate. It is my very favorite for dessert coffees.

Cinnamon tastes like red hots.

Peach is very authentic tasting.

Raspberry is great!

Gingerbread is spicy, nice for cooking.

Caramel is really good.

Dulce de Leche is awesome, very rich caramel.

Pancake is...well...great pancake syrup. Thicker than the other syrups.

Char thickens her syrups and uses them in really neat way.

My two pennies on DaVinci.

I have always put them on my counter with pumps, the ONLY way to go!

Take care~

Oh yeah and I forgot - one I use A LOT these days is the Danish Pastry flavor - GREAT in the hot flax cereal AND in the Mock Danish recipe!

The huckleberry is also delicious when thickened and used as a pancake syrup or cheesecake topping...as is the pineapple - and definitely what Kumus says about the pump tops, all 30+ flavors I own each sits on the counter replete with pump top!

You guys are so great! I got so many good ideas from you all. Thanks for sharing how you use them in your recipes and beverages with the added bonus of what some of them taste like. That was a HUGE plus to me. Thanks so much for all your help. I will save these posts for future references also.

Char Ive got to tell you that you crack me up! (who couldn't choose "only 3" to save her very soul....)

I will also make sure to get the pumps.

Blessings,

Carol

Nobody mentioned my favorite - coconut! Vanilla is great, and Hazelnut is my favorite for coffee. If I could only get 3, those would probably be the ones.

But, I like cherry a lot, too. I think it's better than the blueberry.

I liked, but did not love the almond, irish cream, and caramel.

IMO, the losers include:

- the orange (tastes like baby aspirin - I cannot imagine the appeal). Sometimes I can add a tiny, tiny bit to salad dressing for a bit of citrus flavor. One bottle is enough for several decades.

- the chai latte is just unspeakable. Actually, I should just get tough and throw it away.

-frankly, the chocolate doesn't taste anything like chocolate to me. It's sweet, but strange.

I have a bottle of peanut butter that I'm curious to try. I only have so much room on the counter, so I can't open it until I finish one of the open bottles.

Teelbee, I bought the Chai and didn't like it. I passed it along to my DS, and she mixes it with tea and other things, says its delicious! Hmmm, she is a master with recipes!

I have the coconut, too!

How is the green apple, does anyone have it?

Take care~

I have the green apple, have only used it so far in sodas - my favorite is to mix some green apple and some red hot cinnamon - tastes like a candied apple!

I like the Chai but it takes only the LITTLEST bit - I use maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a teaspoon for a whole mug - I add half and half and water or cream and MORE water and I really like it. It's very strongly flavored though so the first time I made it with my customary tablespoon or so - oooof! Down the drain it went.

I like the orange, but it's another one that doesn't take much - it's good mixed with soda and cream, tastes like an orange creamsicle.

It really is fun to experiment with all the flavors!
