I read somewhere on here a recipe for some type of jello squares. Does anyone remember what it is? I need to take a jello dish to a church function and what to take something sugarfree. Any suggestions???? Thanks.

bev,

I make a sf jello treat with cream cheese and some sour cream and splenda stirred in...we think it's pretty yummmmy...even DH likes it.

1 large box of sf jello, any flavor, but the orange is very good(tastes like a "dreamsicle" to me)
1 8oz block of cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 pkts of splenda

Dissolve jello in 2 cups boiling water. Reserve 1/2 Cup of this. Add 1 1/2 C. ice cold water to remaining jello and put in square glass dish and put in fridge. To the 1/2 cup of reserved jello, add the cream cheese and mix with mixer until smooth and creamy. Mix in sour cream and splenda, again until smooth.
Set this in fridge until jello is soft set. Carefully pour creamy mixture over jello and spread evenly. Return to fridge and let set...usually about 2 hours or so. Cut into squares....carb count for entire recipe is
14 carbs. I usually cut it into 8 squares for about 1.75 carbs per square. Very cool and refreshing, we love it.
HTH

Shelley

I made this last night with Strawberry/Banana flavored SF jello. It is VERY good, and it's hard to believe you're not cheating!

Made another batch with Orange. The wife liked the Strawberry/Banana better. Both were excellent to me!

For a snack try using lime jello instead... Do not put splenda in the cream cheese mixture, add some celery and walnuts.. yum!

BTW, I'm still making this twice a week. It lasts about 1.5 days!

So far, we've had strawberry, strawberry-banana, and orange. Making Lime tonight.
