| Hi everybody. I've gotten lots of great ideas checking out this board. Thanks for sharing so much. I've seen lots of recipes that call for soy protein isolate and was wondering...is there a decent substitution for this? I have a history of breast cancer in my family and have chosen to not include much soy in my diet. I've seen whey protein powder at my hfs and was wondering if this would work Any help would be appreciated Dawn |

| Dawn...The whey protein should work for most recipes. Also, vital wheat gluten is flour-like without all the carbs. This is also a good substitute. I'm sure some others will chime in with their experiences too. HTH! Lori Physician Assistant Full-time mother of 3 boys LC since 2/13/02 50 lbs gone! | It will with my cereal. I think it's a case by case basis with other recipes. HTH (some ...) Maggie 5'1" ~~ Atkins since '98 (160+) Maintaining nicely (110 +/-) ~~ Couch Fauxtato for Life, Redhead until further notice! ~~ |
