I'm trying to start "baking and cooking low carb" but many of the ingredients are different and i dont have. I found almond flour however i am unsure of some of the other products. If someone knows where in Ohio i can find some of the following it would be helpful or a website that i may find most of them would work too. I found a soy protein isolate at this website, www.bulkfoods.com but it doesn't look powdery. Do i want it as a powder or will this work? Also Flax seeds, golden or brown? can they just be ground up to replace flax seed meal? sorry about all the questions i'm just trying to learn and this stuff isn't cheap so the more help the better.
Following ingredients i could use information about:
    Milk and egg protein
    Soy protein isolate
    Xanthan gum
    Flax seeds/meal
    wheat bran
Where can i find steviaPlus in Ohio??

    Thanks
    Katie

I buy my flax seeds from www.wheatmontana.com - and yes, flax meal is nothing more than ground-up flax seeds. I grind my own in my VitaMix but you can also use a cheapy little coffee grinder or a food processor.

Make sure to keep it in the freezer after grinding or it will go rancid on you fairly quickly. I keep the whole seeds in a cool dark cupboard; in your climate you may need to refrigerate or freeze those too!
