I want to know what other people think of the Atkins/and other LC brand of foods. Hopefully we can warn each other, and save some $$$ on bad products!

Atkins Ready to Drink Shakes:
the Chocolate Royale really taste like a thick milkshake B+
the Chocolate Delight tastes more like chocolate milk B-

Atkins Morning Start Breakfast Bars:
The Creamy Cinnamon Bun are very good! Def hits the sweet spot A

Atkins Pancake & Waffle Mix:
These are so terrible! When made like pancakes they taste like sponges, when made like Waffles they taste like cardboard F

Atkins S/F Pancake Syrup:
This syrup is okay, tastes sweet, but really thin C

Atkins BBQ Sauce:
This is so sweet, I cannot use it F

Atkins Endulge PB Cups:
Very good, satisfies the urge B+

Atkins Muffin/Bread Mix, Cranberry & Orange:
These muffins came out rather spongy, and must be eaten with a lot of butter, C

Atkins Muffin/Bread Mix, Choc. Choc Chip:
These are little drier than normal muffins, but are the best "bread" product that I have tried so far! A

We've tried the Atkin's Endulge Wafer crisp candy bars (I can't think of the exact name) in both peanut butter and mint and they are excellent. Definitely an A+.

The bake mix and batter mixes I didn't care for. About a C or a D I guess.

I have a brownie mix in the pantry that I haven't made yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

Atkins Crunchers:
Sour Cream & Onion...OK
BBQ...not bad
Nacho...pretty good
Plain...my favorite, use as a chip or cracker

Haven't used anything else but a couple of the candies which I think are pretty good.

I'm interested in hearing about the corn muffin mix.

Take care~

I just tried some of the Akins steak sauce; very very good! And it's priced the same as the A1 sauce at my grocer.

I remembered I once tried the Atkins LC chocolate ice cream cups and liked them. A bit pricey, but the box I bought was 4 one-half cup serving cups, so it helps with portion control.

Take care~

Love the Peanut Butter cups.

The chocolate ready to drink shakes are "ok" except for the strawberry. That one leaves a horrible after taste.

The regular shake mix is wonderful. One time I used too much ice when preparing it and had to eat it like ice cream! (HEAVENLY.....)

Love the Banana Nut and Cranberry Walnut muffin/bread mix.

Syrup has a very good flavor, but you're correct, it is thin.

LOVE the Morning Start bars, especially the Apple Crisp and Chocolate Chip Crisp (reminds me of a chocolate rice krispie bar).

I have the pancake mix but have not tried it yet. I am also still looking for a cookie recipe that uses the Atkins Bake Mix.

I must admit when I first started Atkins, I was very skeptical about how their products were going to taste. I have been pleasantly surprised!!!

the Atkins Chocolate chocolate chip mix is very good, but comes out dry. To counter that I mixed in a block of cream cheese! Way yummy...tastes a bit like chocolate cheese cake.

Atkins cornbread mix is very good. I added 1 cup of blueberries to the mix and made them into blueberry-corn muffins. They freeze well and make an excellent special desert when warmed in the toaster oven, split in half and topped with a small scoop of Breyers LC ice cream. Move over Baskin Robbins!

Wow! I love all the ideas! I bet the choc. choc. chip mix with cream cheese is really good! That is what I will do next time I buy the mix. The muffins do come out dry.

What do people think is better the ready made shakes, or the shake mix?

And I will definately by the Steak Sauce next time. I have been getting by just using a very small amount of A1, because I was afraid to buy another product and hate it.

Personally I like the Shake mix better. It seems to be thicker and richer. It reminded me of a McDonalds shake ! The only problem I had w/it was it was kind of hard to get all the powder disolved if you didn't have a hand blender. You really had to shake it hard. But.......now they have changed it so you can actually use a spoon and get it to mix up. I have not tried it since the change.

Carb Solutions also has a ready to drink shake that is not bad, it is a tad sweet, but it is still palatable.

They have a shake mix as well, but I don't like it well as I like Atkins'. It doesn't get anywhere near as thick. One good point, it is a LOT cheaper than Atkins'.

Just curious, anyone try Atkins pre-sliced bread? I got an Atkins catalog in the mail yesterday and they show a picture of a wonderful looking sandwich with his bread. Just wondered if it was any good?

I'm a far cry from eating bread, but it looked so good. I did buy a box of his bread machine bread and it was yuck!

also...
Atkins corn muffin mixes are OK, but they're 8 carbs per muffin! Too much for me right now.

Atkins Cranberry Orange muffins are OK

Currently in my freezer I have the Atkins Country White Bread and also the Rye Bread. Both are VERY good. The rye bread even has the little caraway seeds in it. My only beef with the bread is that the slices are not very big !!
