| This was never my FAVORITE st paddy's day food, but i was just curious if there are any LC recipes for it floating around. |

| Sarah, Soda bread is a very flour and sugar intensive recipe. I suspect strongly that most flour subsitutes would produce an unacceptable soda bread. The protein powders we rely on for baking do not act like flour and our sugar substitutes (other than erythritol, which would add an odd cool sensation in that amount) don't behave like sugar. ... and the raisens - well, pretty high on the glycemic index. If I ever get some spare time (which is currently in short supply!) I'll fool around with the idea, and if I come up with anything edible, I'll post it.

| thanks maggie for replying. I suspected it wasnt LC yet, but then again, im not that partial to it anyways so its ok |
