My mom trying to be nice bought me a package of the atkins brownie mix... even tho i stoped buying stuff like that beacuse i was going now where... so i thought ill make it.. and take 1/2 over for my family and ill freeze most of it.. i froze what i kept all but one piece...

everyone whom tried some of it LOVED IT.. said no way it was "healthy" i accidently over poured on the veg oil.. so i know that probly upped the carbs a little on it..(i think ) and i added 1 additional egg... (trying to use up my last egg in that dozen..)
I know it will probly throw me out of ketosis.. but it was DELICIOUS.. the closest thing to a real brownie if not better that i have had.

i guess i just needed something to satisfy my need.. im glad i froze the rest beacuse if it would be where i could have more i KNOW i would eat more..

it was a nice treat so much like i was "cheating"

The oil is 0 carbs so that won't up the count and the extra egg adds about .6 of a carb - I haven't tried those yet, I'm kinda afraid to! LOL!

I DO like the lemon poppyseed and the orange cranberry muffin mixes though - and surprisingly ONE muffin and ONE piece of bacon at breakfast will hold me til lunchtime - so I make up a batch, cool them, put into a ziploc bag and into the fridge - that way I have breakfast already made when I want it.

Thanks for the review, I may get brave and try them sometime when, like you, I have plenty of other people around to eat 'em up!

i think my mom is getting me some of hte muffin stuff for easter i will probly do the same. How long do they keep refridgerated?

Atkins lemon poppy seed muffins are great, and so are the brownies. Be advised...the brownies are very addictive, since they're soooooo good!

I love these brownies! I think they are the best LC product I have used. I cut them in 8 pieces instead of 11, when I eat a brownie I want to know I ate a brownie. Since I am on Pre-Maintenance and 2 pounds away from my goal weight, I have a little splurge every once in a while As a matter of fact I have a package in the cabinet, think I will do some baking today.

The brownies are excellent but very addictive. I too, cut them into 9 pieces and freeze them.
But you have to add chopped walnuts to them. OMG they are truly wonderful then. LOL

I was just looking at the mix at the store--it has sugar alcohols and was almost $6.00. I think I'll pass.

Oh, I'm with everyone else - LOVE the brownies! However, they are an occasional treat for us. I made them instead of cake for my mom's birthday; were a huge hit!
