My Albertson's has soft taco size, fajita size and burrito size flour tortilla's that are the Mission brand. I bought the fajita size and they were $2.99 for 10. Not bad. I don't recall how much the other sizes were!
The only place we ever found the La Tortilla Factory brand was at the health food store for $3/10. I think the Mission are better!

Has anyone seen Mission LC Tortillas in the Chicago area? I'd love to make Marcie's pizza but she says to use only mission brand tortillas. Thanks,
CC

Please ignore my request for Chicago stores carrying mission tortillas. I went to www.missionfoods.com/low carb and they have a store search. I found two stores within 5 miles of my house that carry them. CC

Cool! I'm glad you found a store CC. The other tortillas just aren't as good as the texture is much different.

Mission is the closest to "normal" tortillas I've tried yet.

Oddly enough, the mission tortillas are slightly "sweet" tasting but, that doesn't effect the yumminess of anything I make with them

Thanks for the link; I'm a little wary about the information on the Store Locator feature, because it says that no stores in a 15 mile radius sell any Mission products, and I've seen them in both local supermarkets.

I'm going to have to take a trip to the store, and check for myself!

Anybody from New York see these sold here? I'll check Super-Walmart this weekend. Their store locator said nothing in my area either. I'd be curious to try them.

I was wondering if anyone had found an internet store that carries the Mission Tortillas? There are no stores in my area that carry them, and I would love to try Marcie's pizza recipe.

Thanks!

Just a quick note, we tried it with the wheat ones and it works fine too!

And, we tried another method of just baking the tortillas in the oven (plain) until they are stiff and dry and THEN topping them and heating until melted. Then drizzle with oil oil.

Came out great!

So, there are many ways to do it and they all taste good

But, I still maintain that you shouldn't bother trying this with any other tortillas as they don't have the right texture.

Keep looking for the Mission!

Yes, CarbSmart has these; $4.29 for the 10-inch size, $3.69 for the 8 inch, and $2.69 for the 6.5 inch. I haven't ordered from this company yet, but I have seen some good reviews of it on this site.

Checked out both local supermarkets - Mission Tortillas (yes), but none of the low carb variety.

As other people have noted, it may be a regional roll-out, so it may be a while before I can find them in a store here in Jersey.

In the meantime, if anyone finds them in New Jersey, please let me know!

They are't available in my area, but I emailed the company asking when they will be available and if there is an online source.

The low carb ones are not yet available in my area, although everyone carries the Mission brand

However, my Super WalMart had an unknown brand of low carb tortillas that I picked up today -- the whole wheat ones look, smell and feel like regular tortillas -- 7 grm - 3 fiber. However the plain ones are 15 gms 6 fiber! (Actually, this makes sense and makes me feel better about this brand. I could never figure out how La Tortilla had the same carb count for each of their styles? Wouldn't whole wheat be less??)

Anyway, will try them tomorrow and post the name (I can't remember right now and I am not home!)

sounds like the brand that i bought at my super wal-mart Buena Vida "good life" whole wheat

i made nachos out of them yesterday.. layed them on a sheet pan and cut them w/ a pizza cutter in to 8-10 pieces, sprayed some pam and put them in a low low heated oven.. turned them.. to make sure they browned on bothe sides...

then put some meat on my plate and LC veggies.. sour cream.. and cheese YUMMMMMMMY I WAS SO HUNGRY for nachos.. this realy hit the spot.. esp since i hadnt ate much yesterday.. was a real comfort food..!! you dont get the "Corn" taste... but they are still good.. you realy need to toast them a while.. and sample 1 to make sure it is to your likeness.. first one i tried was almost like a stale chip.. so i put them in longer till they crisped more...
