I saw these in the grocery store this weekend. There were three different packages. Two small sized (4 to 5 carbs), and a large burrito sized (10 carbs but very big) tortilla. There were about $2.89 at Albertson't in Southern California. Here is the link to their site.

I have been in two different stores this week, and each had a special small display rack for the LC tortillas. I bought the smallest flour version. They are good! Other than being slightly lighter in texture than regular flour tortillas, you can't tell the difference in them and the "real" stuff. Of course when you get to checkout you know you have LC tortillas.

I had a package of these in my hand today at Safeway but ended up putting it back because they didn't have what I went in there for, and I didn't want to stand in a long line for ONE item. But I'll be trying them soon!

Cool!

I've been waiting for them to come out with low carb tortillas!

I can't wait to try them. I'll be on the lookout this weekend.

Check your local super market for the Mission tortillas. I found them in both Albertson's and Kroger. Albertson had two other brands -- La Tortilla and some other that I can't remember off the top of my head. The Mission were the cheapest. They are a couple of grs. higher in carbs than La Tortilla. I bought some of both because of the difference in texture and size.

** Note, the ease of finding them in the supermarket may relate to living in Texas. I think more tortillas are sold in Texas than sliced bread.

The Santa Fe Tortilla Company also makes
great LC tortillas -- at 4 carbs per tortilla.
DH loved them as do I. Found them in Wal-Mart.

In fact, the longer I stay on this WOL,
the more I realize what a great array of food choices we have! Thanks to all of you in this forum who have given me such great ideas!!!

Try this for a fast treat --- Spread some cream cheese down the center of one of the small tortillas(I used 1-2T). Sprinkle liberally with sweetner and cinnamon. Nuke for about 25 seconds. Roll it up........ Gives a new meaning to Mock Danish

I used to make these for family get-to-gathers all the time, pre low carb, and they were always a big favorite.

I guess I'll be making them again.

Taco Cheese Wheels

3 (8oz) packages cream cheese
2 cups sour cream
1 finely chopped onion
1 can chopped green chilies
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 pkg taco seasoning
2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Beat the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Add remaining ingredients one at a time until well mixed. Spread filling onto flour tortillas and roll the up and slice them into 1/2 inch slices.

Tina,
I did a search and the Santa Fe Tortilla Co.
is in Albuquerque, NM and appears to be a
regional product (I'm in El Paso). Sorry.
However, the Mission Tortillas are also sold
here and appear to be as good.
