| BettyR Low Carb Eater 04-02-04 08:39 AM Casa Ole Green Sauce Ingredients: 4 Avocados-18.8g 1 (16 oz.) container Sour Cream-19.5g 1 can Rotel tomatoes-8.2g 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder-5g 1 (4 oz.) can Green Chili Peppers-5.2g 2 tsp. Salt-0g 1 tsp. Lemon juice-.5g 3 oz. Cream Cheese-3g Preparation Instructions: Place all ingredients into a large food processor or a blender, process or blend until smooth. I like to add a few drops of green food color to mine. Will stay fresh stored covered in refrigerator for a week or more. Makes about 6 cups. 60.2g for the whole recipe or about 10g per cup. Use as a sauce or as a dip. Of course it's best with corn tortilla chips but it's also very good with pork rinds. I keep some in the frig and my family uses it on everything from their eggs in the morning to a dip with lunch, or a dressing on their salad (it makes a taco salad like something from heaven) or a sauce for their meat with supper. It's also wonderful on low carb tacos. | I was so excited to see this recipe. The only Casa Ole` I know of is in Lufkin. When I go to visit my best friend, a visit to Casa Ole` is mandatory! I always thought the Green Sauce was made from tomatillos. No matter! I love avacados and could eat that Green Sauce with a spoon! I know what all is going to be included in my grocery list this week! Thanks for sharing.

| Maxibee- When I saw this recipe for the first time I thought the same thing. I always thought it was made from tomatillos as well, but after I tasted it I knew this was it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have. |
