Default Fresh Pineapple?

Are we allowed a small portion of fresh pineapple? I'm on the maintenance phase, tried looking it up but it just showed canned pineapple in heavy syrup. I know we can have a few berries now & then, thought the pineapple sounded good.
TIA

Renee -- pineapple is definitely a YMMV thing. I do ok with a TINY bit of it, like in my recipe here: http://www.lowcarbeating.com/article...s%20and%20Tips

As long as it is with a full meal, I have no effects from it. Others may not do as well.

You are on maintenance, so as long as you aren't allergic to it, it shouldn't be an issue as long as it is pineapple canned in its own juice or fresh.

Just checked on fit day, 1 cup diced raw pineapple is 19 carbs, so... 1/2 cup is 10, 1/4 cup is 5.... I have to watch pineapple, I eat too much of it when I get a fresh one... So I am just holding off on them for them time being, but they are good and sweet.

I eat fresh pineapple occasionally, when I can find a good one. It's a nice change from berries. But, like the others, I keep it to a minimum, and eat it as part of a meal (like a few chunks on a chicken salad, or for breakfast with protein). It's good added to a protein shake, too.
Sharron is right; it is a YMMV thing. I would try it, and see.
