| i went to wal-mart today and found a seven ounce can of soy protein isolate in the vitamin isle. there was vanilla and chocolate to choose from. i had no idea it came in flavors, and since i'm planning to try Maggie's Breakfast Cereal i chose the vanilla. did i get the right thing? or is there a plain? thanks!

| Soy protein isolate is usually plain with the only ingredient being soy protein isolate. There are, however, many flavored soy protein powders, which sounds like what you got. They have some other ingredients and range from very low carb to very high carb. Just check the nutrition information. I'm sure any low carb protein powder would work fine in the cereal, but might have a small effect on the carb count, depending on the carb count of the protein powder you're using.

| Maggie- Thanks for the info. I thought for sure it wasn't right. I was going to the Health Food Store after Wal-Mart... I will try it and see how it goes. It came with a scoop inside, and 2 scoops are 4 carbs.
