Question Another question on Maggie's cereal

Maggie... or anyone else who knows...

How long can you store this in the fridge? Can you keep it in the freezer... would it last longer this way?

I made the recipe as stated (a whole BIG batch), but I think I need to not have it for awhile. I'm not losing at about 30g a day right now, so I'm going to back down to 25g a day. And... the cereal alone does not usually fill me up. So, I'm thinking of letting it go for awhile... and having veggies at breakfast instead.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Debby, I do keep mine in the freezer in a ziploc bag and it keeps very well that way. I just scoop out what I need and proceed as usual, it may take a little longer to cook to the consistency you like from ice-cold though.

I tend to make a batch and put half in the freezer and half into the fridge - each in an airtight tupperware container. When the second "half" is nearly gone, I make up a new batch. I don't eat it every day. (LOL! I don't eat ANYTHING every day - 'cept cherries, at the moment )

The stuff in the freezer suffers no ill effects as far as I can tell.
