| I have wanted to get a waffle maker for Suzanne Somer's spinach bread for a long time. Here is a link to the recipe http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load...090416849.html

| ILse - They don't mention using a waffle maker for it. would the recipe need to be modified for this? I bought a Foreman grill a few months ago and it came with a free waffle maker that I haven't had a chance to use. This would eb a nice use for it. |

| Rob, I don't remember any specifics about using the waffle maker. I just posted a topic about this on the Suzanne Somers discussion board. If I get any answers, I will pass them on. I imagine the recipe would not be changed, but I could be wrong! Gilley, according to fitday, the entire recipe yields (without using fat): 359 calories 20g fat 14g carbs 32g protein I'm thinking you can probably get 4 waffles of this, but I don't know, I haven't tried it.

| I was told to put a ladle full of the mixture into the waffle maker and cook until the waffle maker stops steaming. I imagine some Pam strayed onto the waffle maker before adding the mixture would be helpful. I need to unthaw some spinach to try it myself.

| Well, yesterday, I prepared the waffles. I unthawed a 10oz block of spinach in my microwave. It took about 4 1/2 minutes total. I drained it very well, mixed it with the eggs, sprayed a bit of Pam on my waffle maker, and ladled the mixture on. I let it cook until the stream stopped and put the rest of the batter on (making a total of 4 waffles). I cooked this one longer. I sliced up some cucumbers, tomatoes, prepared some seasoned scallops and took everything in baggies with me. Then, when I needed to eat, I had healthy food with me. It was quite simple and tasty. I was able to make a sandwich from the waffles, tomato, cucumber, and scallops. I just held a napkin under the sandwich to catch the tomato juice. I think you could make a good spinach bread pizza, by making the waffles and adding some marinara sauce and cheese and letting the cheese melt. I haven't tried that yet, but it sounds good!
