Isn't it wonderful!? I can't get enough of it, but I'm trying to be respectful with it.

I started with 2 ounces a couple of times a day and now I have about 4 ounces 3x a day. At least one site I read said to take it easy at the start because of possible intestinal "detox"

I just strain mine through a paper towel lined plastic strainer into a gallon container. I did not experience the "continuing to ferment" problem that they spoke of. It was wonderful right to the last drop

Enjoy!

Oh, and I have babies to share now if anyone needs them

Oh boy, i am not doing well with my tea ration, i know im supposed to start with 2 2oz servings a day, but yesterday was my second day and i had 3 servings. So far no adverse reactions, this can become addictive, just the idea knowing how good it is for me and the taste. How can one not become addicted to it, its just too good not to.

Oh my daughter watched me drink some and then decided she wanted to try it out of curiosity, one sip and she was like whoa. and it gave her such an instant energy boost, now i have to watch her around my k-tea. I told her she cant have too much until im able to brew 2 batches at once. Oh well i guess its a family affair now.

How cool is that!!!?? I now have a baby ready to send off to Special K. My kefir babies are multiplying like tribbles too. I have been doing both, but not at the same time. I put my last batch of k-tea into a rinsed out DaVinci syrup bottle and left it on the counter. It's getting quite fizzy and is growing another baby in it. I'm ready to make a new batch, WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!! My first batch I made with black tea. The second batch I made with green tea. I will strain it today. I think I will refrigerate this next batch so it will be cold when I drink it. OH and I have been adding Orange DaVinci syrup to each "dose" I drink.............OH is THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!

I actually think my Ktea is helping me not to bloat as badly as I have in previous months from tom. My pattern over the past 6 months has been to lose 5-7 pounds during the month only to acquire it back plus an extra few when tom comes. Then I have to lose it again, and end up showing a net gain. (It isn't related much to my eating, I think it has to do with my hormones. I've posted a separate thread called "adrenal fatigue" in the Women's forum about that, if you are interested.)

Well, so far this month, I had lost the 5 pounds, like normal, but I've only put back 4 of it (so far anyway!) with tom. That is a net loss of a pound.

Now, tom is not done, and there have been times in the past 6 months that I have bloated more as it was leaving, but typically it has been past the previous bloat as soon as tom hits... then the extra comes later. (Did that make sense??)

It is definitely helping my energy level. In fact, I'm not sure I would be functioning if it weren't for the Ktea and the coQ10...

Sharron i have to ditto on the retention thing, normally im up 5lbs a couple of days before TOM and dont lose again until after its left. This month not a single lb gained. And today is day 3 and i woke up this morning down a lb. Im just anxious to see what the scale will read in a few days, i usually have a whoosh about 2-3 days after TOM has left. Then again that whoosh is usually the water retained and maybe another lb or so, lol. And as i reported a couple of days ago, did not have all of the PMS as i usually have, just the crankiness this time.

I'm going to have to see if it has any affect on my TOM too. I didn't have a batch ready last time, so this month it will be the first time I will have had it every day when TOM hits. When I was doing ACV I remember it diminishing my cramps. Although, this next one should be a "shadow" period. I've been going since April with a spotty period when it's due, lasting the same amount of time as my normal period and no boob tenderness. And then the next month is a normal gusher. That change has been regular so far. The "shadow" periods seem to be absent of cramping, a little bloating.....not much. I think what's happening is that I'm not ovulating during those weird ones. WHat I should do is go get my hormone levels checked, but we have no insurance and money is sooooooooo tight right now.

I have a friend who just took some kefir grains from me. She's also interested in a scoby!!!!! So the next one I get will go to her.

Ok, im not gonna be able to wait 10 days on this batch to finish and was gonna share my baby with a friend, but with my kids wanting to drink it as well im gonna have to start 2 batches for my household and then the next time i will share with my friend. I know this sounds so selfish, but i dont know what else to do, i really do want my family to reap the benefits of this as well as my friend. Well i am sharing my next baby, so i guess its ok.

No, it isn't selfish. I had to do the same. Believe me, you'll have plenty down the road

I finally got one sent off to SpecialK. I could have sworn she posted in this thread but going back and reading all the posts here, I don't see anything from her here. I am now questioning my sanity.

Last night when we got home from seeing Spiderman I poured myself a glass of k-tea and flavored it with the Davinci s/f orange syrup and had it on ice. What a delightful beverage!!!!!!!!
