Stay strong Rob!!! The worst for me is when I am surrounded by off limit foods (esp. at work). This morning there was orange juice and doughnuts for the staff at the front desk. Everytime I would walk by I would think "EVIL EVIL EVIL" LOL. It worked - I didn't indulge. We are going out to dinner tonight - DH is choosing so I am not sure what dinner may bring. I just need to stick to plan.

Hey Maz,
I definitely like fitday pc better than the online version. Once you get everything all set up and you enter your custom foods, it is waaaaay faster than online.
About the fat gram issue...I try to stay right at 100 or less on the fat grams, so the 111gms you had wasn't so bad. I try to stay at 80g protein, that is complete protein...the protein from meat, fish, chicken, cheeses,(cottage and cream cheese) and eggs. When I enter my foods in fitday, I go back through with my calculator, and add up all the pro grams from my meats, cheeses and eggs...that is the protein I count; the rest of the protein gms I consider accidental; LOL...meaning they were in a food I ate like a veggie or sf jello...does that make sense?
Email me if you need anymore help

Glo, good going on getting rid of the cake ...I hate to say this, but a good bakery cake is a really BIG weakness of mine...heh.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...hang tough Rob...don't surrender and don't let those goodies take you hostage...LOL!

Thanks Shelley and Rob for the fat/pro/carb ratios!

I was coming along nicely with my DietPower (and also checking my Basal Metabolism Calorie Count daily) when yesterday I went to the Health Food Store and bought some Keto Pudding and DaVinci syrups. Can you say indulge? So even though my calorie count and carb count was OK, I am up half a pound this AM. Think I OD'ed on sweet tasting stuff!

OK - I think I need more than a swift kick in the pants. Today is the start of a new week and new resolve to stick to plan! I got pictures back from my DD's birthday party and pictures don't lie :( I have let the entire month go by and I have failed miserably at eating right. New day = new beginning. I know what to do and I know what works. Now it is time to get down to business and do it!!! I have a month and a half to my 43rd birthday and I am determined to lose 10 by then. This means NO CHEATS, exercise and drinking my water. 10 by 10/24 - that's needs to be my manta! Wish me luck. I love the motivation that I get here. Keep your successes coming - they really do sustain me.

Gloria - You can do it!!

KC - Those kinds of gains are almost always water.

Shelley - Yahoo - 1 1/2 pounds!

I've been good now 3 days running and it paid off on the scale this morning when I did my sneak peek mid week weigh-in. Down 1 1/2 since Sunday. Which tells me it was definitely water weight caused by too high net carbs. PAst 3 days averages - calories - 1840, net carb. - 39.

Rob, Shelley and Gloria: you are doing great! And yes, that gain was probably water. It was gone the next day. However, have been stuck at 152.5 for three days now. At least it's not a gain. Tomorrow I visit Dr. to have thyroid checked. I hope I don't run into a brick wall about this. However, she is a woman and perhaps will understand the frustration.
