Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!

Hope that y'all had a great weekend. It is Monday a.m. here in Asia! Lokking like a beautiful week.

I did really well this weekend. I ate my salads and stayed away from carbs and I put on 3 pounds! Nothing like something like that to really keep the modivation going!

I did some math and I am up 17 pounds of lean body mass from where I was 3 years ago before I got pregnant with #4. I am also 17 pounds heavier...wouldn't that mean that I would be the same size now as I was there...No...I am 1 size bigger! But I am 2 sizes smaller than I was at the same weight when I was loosing before.

My goal for the week is to be 100% (Phase 2 eating, 64 oz water, daily exercise) until Thursday. Then I am off to Mainland Japan to hike Fuji with my sister. I am really excited. I will be there for about a week.

Mary Kay - Good goal with Bally's. I have never done the PT thing. I had a friend who was a PT and she set me up with a program and went with me for a week. It was great and I know that I worked out a lot harder with someone pushing me.

Janine - Good Job stopping yourself before you binged. Good goals but how do you measure them...How many oz of H2O, What basics (Phase 1, 2 or 3), how far/long and often with the walking?

Well...I am off to shower...I did a spin class this morning and it takes me about 30 minutes to stop sweating so that I can shower! I will check as much as I can this week!

Wow! Where is everyone?

I am sorry...my computer is still in the shop and we have been in lock-down with a typhoon. We just got the all clear sign and I came next door to use my friend's computer.

I am doing all right. I have a great Phase 3 week. With being locked down, I usually let the kids plan the menus and do kid friendly prep. I was discouraged though because last week when I was doing so well, I put on 3 pounds. I have to figure something out.

I am leaving in about 20 minutes to head out to Mainland Japan to spend a week with my sister. She has internet, so I will check in daily.

Take care!

Holly

Hi - didn't mean to desert you. been wandering around other topics lately.
I've been doing 'okay' lately - no real cheats, but a couple higher-carb days.
But also been increasing my activity. I started Monday with a Personal trainer at Ballys - doing weight/strength training. Monday was Leg day - and I'm still aching in my thighs. Today was upper body day, and I am already sore in many places.
Think I'll use some ointment tonight - may have to roll out of bed in the morning.

Hey, there.
Found a computer here on vacation, so greetings from the Wisconsin Dells.
As for my week...
Did fairly well at the beginning, then got thrown off with DH's b-day on Tuesday.
I want to do the 64 oz of water, but I have to really work at avoiding the soda.
Snuck in a couple of workouts here and there. Weights on Sunday, swam some laps while DH watched the kids in the pool the Monday and Tuesday. Did about a mile(?) walk around the lake yesterday. Have really slipped up in the eating the last two or three days. Helped split a sundae for DH's b-day Tueday and had pizza yesterday and today (once each). other than that lots of salads.
Back home tomorrow and I NEED to be checking in with you guys, weighing in and being good.

Howdy...From the Land of the Rising Sun!

I am having a great vacation. I have over-eatten on rice, at dinner, but other than that I have done pretty good. I have tried to do whole grain when I can to make up for the problems. Doing the happy dance that I did not give in to the crackers, candy and cookies that DH was handing out during the flight.

I am getting a lot of exercise as we have walked, and walked and walked and walked...We are off to a children's water park today, so more exercise.

I have not been drinking water like I should. Part of that is that I do not want to have to use a bathroom in the train station here...not a pleasant experience.

MaryKay! Great job with your personal trainer. I am glad that you are hurting (hopefully a good hurt!)...Here is you personally fortune cookie...There will soon be some awesome muscle definition coming your way!

Janine! Glad to have you check-in. Way to go with your eating...it is so hard to be good while on vacation and you are making some good choices. I am sure that like me, there would have been a time you would have eaten the whole sundae and then helped others to finish theirs...have to be happy that you only shared one.

Have a great day!

I'll check in on Sunday!

Sounds like you are doing fine on your vacation. I had one last March, had been stalled for about 5 weeks and decided to relax a little bit. Nothing over the top, but less strict than I had been. Came home 4 lbs lighter!!! did a LOT OF WALKING too.

I'm doing okay, didn't go in for exercise today, yesterday arms were dead weight, and hurting a little too much. Yeah, I pushed it Wednesday - didn't feel like I was using that much weight, but guess I was.
Still did water aerobics and soaked in the whirlpool last night, and it felt quit a bit better. But still wasn't ready for more of it this morning.
so, this weekend may do a walking tape, and Monday morning is scheduled for weight workout again.

Have been overindulging in lowcarb lately - it adds up. I'm going to get some stuff ready this weekend (burgers, hb eggs, cheese, veggies) and do a mini-induction for a few days next week to get things back in control.
plus, haven't been hitting my water like I was before. so, need to really work on that also.

just been lazy about low carbing - shortcuts, bars, etc. Time to get a little serious again and see what happens.

I'm with you MaryKay! I have been saying that I should do an Induction (or Phase I) for ages and always have some excuse. Have been eating more like phase 3 or Maintanence forever, but with the cheats increasing in frequency over the last several months.
I am back from vacation now, so goal one is to log in with you guys daily. I also want to get the water at the 64 oz. level and get back to the gym 3x a week. we'll see if I have the will power to get started back on phase 1 this week. I know the first couple of days are the hardest.
The good news is that I did come back from vacation 5 lbs lighter. (yea! :jump Now just to keep it up. I'm at 186 now and am not real sure what my final goal should be, but we'll call it 20 lbs total and see how it goes from there.
Body Pump class on Monday. I am looking forward to it. It's a fun way to do weights.
Here's to a productive week.

Howdy Janine and MaryKay!

Sorry...I got stuck on the Mainland and was computerless for the past week!

Life is great because I am back and did not gain weight!!!!

I too am committing to report daily.

I will stick with this thread for a few more days and then I will start a new thread this weekend!

WAY TO GO on all that you two have done! I am proud of you! How has the Induction gone? I need to do that, but it is hard with the kids home. I will have to get to my green grocers tomorrow and get back on track!

Please think about and post by the start of the next week (monday a.m.) what your goal is going to be for the week.

I would like to start a little point system. 1 point each for:

Water
100% on food
Exercise
Posting
Personal goal

That's 5 pts/day 35 pts/week. There will be serious bragging rights for the winner and maybe a bonus suprise thrown in!

Holly

Well, it's been a rough week over here. Only made it to the gym on Monday. Did some workouts at home, but didn't make it back to the gym. I'm so tired of fighting the kids to get them up and out of the house.
School starts on Thursday, so we'll be up. Then it'll just be dealing with DD's temper tantrums that she doesn't want to be in the daycare. Ugh!
Ok. I'm going to try to borrow some of your resolve, Holly, and kick my butt over here. Started the week OK, didn't ever get to Induction, but did pretty much Stage 2 all week until it fell apart with a potluck yesterday. Will be a challenging weekend with 2 b-day parties.
I'll work on my goal setting today and try to get them posted for Monday.

I have missed out on exercise this week. In some ways it was a needed break. I was really "Kicking some butt" but seeing no results, so I hope to get back into it when I can get to the gym next week. I have been doing fine with eating.

Sorry that you had a bad week, Janine. We do need to get a good start on Monday!

Today is a brand new day!
