Gilley, will say a prayer for you to get through the day okay. Glad you found a way to take it that works for you.

I took 1/2 tsp in about 6 oz. water this morning and was fine with it. Took it about 8 minutes before eating breakfast. This timing thing is going to be the hardest for me. How will I know if/when I need to up to a full tsp? Any suggestions?

Anyway, had a different type of breakfast this morning. Normally I have some sort of egg dish w/veggies. But, this morning I had a container of BB Carb Freedom peach yogurt w/half cup of HiLo cereal. Did this because DH suggested I cut out things that seem to bother my tummy (eggs and coffee). Anyway, this was NOT a good breakfast for me, yummy as it was. My BS was way off, even w/the ACV. So, will not do this again! Will go back to my usual breakfasts and see what happens. Had a HB egg about 45 minutes ago and seem to be doing better, but still really hungry. Hopefully lunch (in a little bit) will cure that. (fingers crossed)

Sharron, I'm suspecting the coffee in my tummy problems, but am not willing to give it up (yet... crazy, huh?) Anyway, it started happening about a month ago, and I've been trying to figure out what's causing it. It's not every day. Sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the late afternoon. Doesn't seem to be a pattern. Sometimes TUMS (SF, of course) help, but yesterday they didn't. I have suspected maybe an ulcer, but not ready to go to the doc yet. Going to try a few things first, keep an eye on it, and see what happens. DH thinks it might be the Sams Club brand of coffee that I bought, so I now have some Folgers. Only had 2 big mugs today, instead of my usual 3. So going to try to cut back to 2 on a regular basis. We'll see what happens. Wish me luck in figuring it out.

Wa-ah! I just typed a really lengthy reply and my computer locked up on me and I had to forcibly shut it down.

I can't relate to coffee -- but I've reacted to foods that are normally on my "good" list because of how they've been processed, etc. I also have to be careful of the yogurts. I can have them, but along with a piece of cheese and maybe about 4 grapes or cherries or a bit of apple (not many -- I really do mean 4!) otherwise I end up with an imbalance. Oh, and some nuts, too. I have to eat it like a Zone snack or it doesn't work.

Celeste, that is so fabulous! Six hours straight -- I cannot imagine...

Gilley, I'm so glad you found a way to take it

oh my

My dear sweet friends - cut back on the coffee!! I drink a strong brewed cup of French Roast - FOUR OUNCES w/ hwc in the am - and that is IT!

I have no skills for the inner workings of coffee and weight loss, but I do know that my drinking a small powerful amount seems to make a dif.

FWTW - I chug a glass of water BEFORE the acv - seems to help with the 'ug' factor.

So far, the mini shots before mini meals is working out great!

Normally after a night of dancing im aching and sluggish half of the next day, surprisingly im fully energetic and ready get on with my day. And really hit the floor last night, my legs were weak when i left, but i still had energy, lol.

Hi everyone! This ACV sparked my interest! I started taking it last night, first before dinner, then at bedtime - I have been having the same reaction as Gilley - ugh! I might try it with splenda and water...is there a difference in the brands? Should I only take Braggs?

TIA!

Well, biddy, if you got organic, unfiltered, then you are ok. You don't want to take the kind that is in the salad dressings aisle though. Blech!

I've successfully used Spectrum, Hain, Trader Joes (though the taste isn't nice), and Braggs. I think they are all fine.

Could taking ACV make me more hungry? I'm not sure what's causing it, but I seem more hungry. Could be the ACV or my other food choices... just not sure yet. Maybe I need to up my amount? I'm taking 1/2 tsp prior to each meal (so 3 times a day), and just started yesterday. Should I up it to a full tsp yet? Or wait a bit?

Seems like I'm already starting to experience the energy part. Yeah!!

If you are feeling inclined to up your amount, I would. That is how I do this and the Ktea -- just by my gut feeling. If I feel like I need more, I take it

Yay for energy!

I agree, sounds like it's time to up the acv - I take about a full teaspoon before each meal and again at bedtime. I have yet to smell like a pickle barrel!!

OH funny, hubby saw me taking a shot of acv - "uh babe, since when do you like my whiskey"

lol - the look on his face when I told him it was vinegar!!

well i was thinking the rinse beacuse I read everywhere dont wash your hair every day. Well in my job you need to wash your hair or your pillow starts to smell like french grease and burgers. so 7 days a week (unless i had off) i alternate bath- shower... when i bath i just rinse my hair out... when i shower it gets washed.. i was thinking maby i could use some acv when rinseing to pull a little more of the yuck outa my hair.. and hopefully make it healthier...

now w/ that.. could i just use the regualr pastureized acv... or should it also be unfilterd..

Well, gilley, I wouldn't use the pasturized to do anything, to be honest. It isn't "alive" any more...

The deal with those types of rinses is that you do it before you wash your hair. It would act like a chemical stripper, as you are thinking, but it has to be washed out. At least that is my opinion. I know when I kefir my hair, it strips and conditions. If I just use the whey, it just strips it. Either way, I have squeaky clean hair :gorgeous:
