AR, I can't say for sure about the acv and dreams, however, I do know that when I'm in ketosis I dream much more vividly.

Gilley, I'm so pleased that you are feeling better!!! Praise God

I know Trina uses it as a face rinse, but I've never tried it...

Okay, I noticed that no one has mentioned this and I wouldn't have but I think it is worth it. I've been more loving!!! DH is very happy and so am I. Wooowhooo. I hope that was okay to post. That was an issue I prayed about and HE is faithful.

Well, I'm sure it is far too soon to tell a difference but I THINK I can anyway
I took a tsp in water before bed last night, and one upon arising today. Will have one midmonring and mid afternoon and then before bed again.

I have been watning to drink more water today, which is something i've been having trouble with lately...so this is great, and i just feel BETTER. More balanced or something. Perhaps it is in my head...like i know i am doing somehting good for me so i am feeling better? Anyway, I'll take it. I look forward to the next 24 hours to see what it brings.

Thanks everybody!

Renee - after 24 hours I was SOLD on ACV - it really does make that big a difference that soon.

I am glad someone else mentioned the dreaming. I thought it was just me!! Very intense dreams, there seems to be a greater quantity of dreams, and much more easily remembered also. How bizarre is that?

I think my head cold is interferring with the ACV - I've been getting so tired in the afternoon this week. Just wondered if anyone else encountered this? Maybe once the cold is gone, I'll get that energy kick!

Question Re: more acv questions

Oh... I'm SO confused. I've been needing more snacks... needing to eat about every 2 hours, but my main meals are about the same size. Could the ACV be making me MORE hungry??? It sure seems like it, but I don't know. If that is the case, does that mean that I really *need* more food? Or should I quit the ACV? I'm really trying to figure it all out. Here's my deal (timeline of changes made, etc):

8/24 - started exercising (25-30 min cardio) in the mornings (about 15-30 minutes after I get up)
8/25 - exercised in the morning. Started new (higher) dosage of thyroid meds.
8/26 - exercised in the morning
8/27 - exercised in the morning
8/28 - started ACV before B,L, & D- 1/2 tsp. Felt hungry almost all day (never really could get that full feeling), but attributed it to having BB CF yogurt and HiLo cereal for breakfast.
8/29 - 1/2 tsp ACV before B,L, & D. Cut back from 3 to 2 mugs of coffee in the morning
8/30 - 1 tsp ACV before B,L, & D
8/31 - exercised in the morning. 1 tsp ACV before B,L, & D.
9/1 - exercised in the morning. 1 tsp ACV before B

Today I haven't had lunch yet, but feel like I need it now!!! BUT, normally I don't eat until at *least* 12:30pm, and it's just barely 11am. I don't know what to do. Had 3/4 cup HiLo ceral w/3/4 SF SoySlender milk for breakfast at about 8:30am. Seemed to fill me up fine (at least as much as my eggs and green beans did yesterday). Had 1/4 cup almonds for a snack (my usual morning snack) at 10am, but am STILL hungry. Maybe I'm needing bigger breakfasts now that I'm exercising in the morning. Will this do the trick? I'm just not sure what to change. How do I know what's causing this?? Any thoughts?

I am currently about 3-4 pounds away from my original goal, but more like 8-13 pounds away from what I think my new final goal is. Just thought I'd mention this, too, in case this helps you to help me.

Also, at first it seemed like it was giving me more energy, but now I'm not sure about that either. I'm feeling tired, but that could be because I woke up at 4:19am and then again at 5:16am, then finally got up at 6:15am so I could get my exercise in.

Haven't had any tummy problems (to speak of) since starting the ACV, but that could just be coincidence... since sometimes I can go a whole week without an episode.

Any and all thoughts/opinions/words of wisdom will be GREATLY appreciate.

Thanks,

Oh... also, I've been considering going to weighing once a week (or month), since I'm so close to goal. I've always weighed every day and then done a 7-day average. It seems like it's just time to make the switch to not weighing as often. But, now that I'm introducing other things (like ACV), I'm a little bit afraid to let go of that daily weighing. <big sigh>

Debby,

I would suspect you are just getting more in tune with your body! There is a thread about grazing in the reduced carb discussion forums. Essentially, there are 2 hormones that you feel and it sounds like you are getting more in tune with them.

I know I would sure be ravenous about an hour after that cereal! Also, since you are exercising more aggressively (it seems to me), you might need more carbs, like a small bit of fruit and cheese with some almonds for a snack instead?

It might not be right for you? I'd give it the full 10 days before I decide though... Remember, you are still in the "detox" period.

Just some thoughts...

Biddy, a "cold" could be a detox reaction. I got one when I went through induction from the detox.

Debby, I'm no where near goal, but have found with the ACV that I need good well balanced snacks to keep me going - otherwise I get over hungry and then it's HIDE THE FRIG!! My meals are also small.

Thanks Crystal - it's good to know I'm not alone!!!

Being hungry is a sign of 2 things, either youre really hungry or youre thirsty. And if youre working out in the morn, you definetly need more carbs immediately after your workout. Listen to your body, give it what it needs and it will definetly reward you. If youre hungry eat, just make sure its good quality protein and carbs. If you think you need to add another snack, try it and see what happens. I totally agree with the weighing daily, i decided that since im trying new things i want to monitor the movement of the scale and how these new items affect me all around.

Debby,

I've also notice a increase in my appetite, but I think mine is attributed to the increase of energy I have. My energy level is so much higher and I take advantage of it by working out longer and harder. I keep myself busy all the time and my body tells me that I need more mini snacks. I'm not alarmed. All the other benefits from ACV are worth the extra snacks. My snacks consist of a fruit and protein or veggie & protein. My carb intake is more than most because of my exercise schedule.

Now as for being tired, I'm a "yes" on that, too. However, only at bedtime. I used to have trouble sleeping, but now I sleep like a rock. I can even wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and go right back to sleep. The longer I use the ACV, I notice other benefits. The only difference is I use 2 tsp per drink and I have my drink 3 to 4 times each day.

Debby, give it more time. Your body may be going through an adjustment period. Also, don't forget to drink your water. I noticed that working out in the morning makes me more thirsty than normal. Not drinking enough water can make you feel sluggish, tired and at times hungry. Try increaseing your water intake. I hope this helps.
