Shell, I'm sorry you've been feeling cruddy!

I have been so incredibly busy that I honestly don't know whether I've been in or out of the Zone! Most have my meals have been "on the fly" if you know what I mean -- not a lot of forethought. However, I think I'm making pretty good choices, over all.

I don't think this week will be any different than last week, but I'll try to pop in and say "hi" when I can!

Well, hey, girley!!!
Good to hear from you. Thanks for the sympathy...I do feel better...almost normal?...whatever that is...LOL.

I totally understand the busy thing...this time of year, the days seem to fly by...so much shopping...so little time...hehe!

Way to go on the healthy choices on the fly...that's a great accomplishment IMO!
Pop in when you can And...Happy Turkey Day if I don't see ya before hand!

In the zone today yipee skipee!!!!
Only one more day to work this week, and I'll have a 4 day weekend...yipee skipee again...LOL.

I'm going to try a new dessert recipe from the zone site...Pumpkin Mousse. I think it will work just fine for a pumpkin pie sub. Now, if only pecan pie could be zoneful...

Almost got my Christmas shopping completed today. Just a few odds and ends left, and something for DH and I'll be done. Got a late start this year...heh.

How's everyone else getting along?

Down 1.5 lb this am. Don't know if it's the 1 cup of green tea I gagged down yesterday, or the loss of appetite after my cousin's phone call.
I did NOT have coffee this am; drank green tea instead. I did a little better with it this am...it wasn't coffee though :(
Will fix a zoneful T-giving dinner for two;(details in my journal).

Probably will head out on Sunday eve if they have my aunt's funeral on Monday.

Guess that's it. Hope everyone has a safe and bountiful Thanksgiving Day.

Well...
I was very happy the way my *cornbread* dressing turned out. I baked up the Atkins cornbread/muffin mix I had using lf milk in place of cream and decreased the oil(olive) a tad. Then I proceeded just like my traditional dressing with lots of sage, onions, and other spices, and chicken broth. DH and I both do NOT care for celery, so none of that It was a crumbly type dressing whereas my old high carb stuff would hold together, but the taste was excellent, IMO. DH ate 2 big servings and said it tasted just as good as the other "stuff"...LOL.
Anyway, I think I stayed zoneful; We had our meal around 3 PM, and I didn't get hungry until around 7:30 PM. Then I had a 1 block snack and was a happy camper. The good thing will be, only enough leftovers for 1 meal...not DAYS of it, like in the past...so reruns for din din tonight, and that will be the end of it.

Awaiting the phone call to learn of the final arrangements for my aunt's funeral.
I need to order flowers this am...

later...

That's cool about your stuffing! I can't "do" any of the Atkins product... nope, not a one!

I didn't do tooooooo badly with dinner. Not perfect, but I didn't plan to be.

I made a hot crab dip (from ELLC) that went over like gang-busters. Not a smidgeon left

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle!!!!! I was in ketosis today!!!!! And I even had a slice of WW toast for brekkie, believe it or not. I am wondering if it's the green tea????
Most likely, slight dehydration, as I had not had alot of water at that point. At any rate, I was kinda surprised. I was very zoneful today. DH and I went to Outback Steakhouse for our dinner date. I OD'd on protein probably(ate all of my 6oz steak) but was perfect otherwise with steamed veggies, and LF Ital on my salad.
Finishing off my 3rd cup of green tea. I sure didn't get as much water in today as I would have normally.
That's all for now......

Sharron, I'm gonna look up that crab dip recipe.....sounds like something I just might make for Christmas Eve...yummers!

Attended my dear Aunt's funeral yesterday :( The church had a family lunch after the funeral, and I ate mostly *comfort* foods; I was not zoneful at all the rest of the day. Also due to the 3 hr drive home in rainy, cold weather, I did not get near enough water or green tea; so that's how it was.

Today, I am back on track, having a zone breakfast and drinking my first cup of green tea before I head off to work.

We had freezing drizzle, sleet, and a ever so slight dusting of snow overnight.
Hopefully the week will improve weatherwise.

That's all I guess

Reading your posts have been very helpful-I've recently switched from Atkins to the Zone and am pleased with how I feel and a recent 3 lb drop. I had not been able to focus on Atkins for the last 2 months and the lbs have been creeping back as a result. this seems to be making more sense to me-the whole concept of the 3 meals/2 snacks is working for me better than other methods have and your thread has been helpful. Thanks! Janell
