I am not back on Core yet as of yesterday. I may try a juice fast if I can find out enough about it. I hope that would help me get back on track. My smoothies do include protein powder.

I have the weight watchers flex program. Is core better? I can't figure out how to get my flex points and my low carb to work together. I end up with too many carbs!
How does core work?

If a person is doing LC, but high fat, doing Flex points doesn't work very well, as a lot of the points are used up by high protein/high fat foods. Doing the Core program is meant to be LF, but it would be friendlier to a person doing LC, as you don't have to count the points of allowed proteins. And, WW is allowing 2 tsp on any plan of good oils, like flax, olive, canola without counting those points.

As a example, if you have a 8 oz broiled lean steak, some salad with full-fat dressing, some LC veggies, maybe some cooked brown rice, you would be using at least 16 points (at least 8 on the steak and at least 4 for a cup of brown rice, probably 4 points for the salad dressing) on this meal, maybe more if you buttered the veggies or rice or if you used any cheese or full-fat sour cream on anything. Or, you could have the same meal on Core, (just skip the dressing) (I dip the tines of my fork in the dressing and get a minimal amount of it for the salad) and count no points. You could add 1 serving of fresh fruit and still not count points.

I have done both plans and am happy to give my 2 cents worth.
