Back for the weekend before my next trip and thought I'd check in. We're taking a laptop with us to HI so should be able to check in for encouragement. Did ok in Miami--really tried to get in the zone and stay there and came back with no weight gain so I felt pretty good. Had wine one night and bites of the most awesome chocolate dessert sampler at Nemo's restaurant in South Beach. Man-was that good and the bites were really enough. I stayed away from the snacks put out during the meetings and kept that water bottle close at hand. No real excersize except walking a few blocks to eat but should make up for that in HI we hope. Sounds like you're both doing well--hope the Brenda you mention comes back--would be good to hear from her as well! Take care--(oh, we had 9 inches of snow Friday night--what a welcome back from FL!!!) Janell

Janell...welcome back, and bye again...have a good time DH's cousin and his wife are leaving for HI next weekend, I believe. I think that would be a fun vacation, although I am not really a tropical person. I'm a mountain gal...give me my jeans, flannel shirt and a good pair of hiking boots and I'm a happy camper...LOL.
Good for you on the no gain...way to go! I bet you will gets lots of exercise in HI; what a beautiful place to take a walk!

I was very zoneful today. Did the 3 mi WATP again, got in all my water and GT. DH and I went on our dinner date to Red Lobster; had a salad, broiled salmon with fresh steamed broccoli and some sf pudding when I got home. Sipping on another mug of green tea

Again, Janell, have a wonderful time...take some pics for us....pleeeease??????

Sharron, girlie, hope you are okay.

OK....girlie!!!! Get thyself back into the zone I do know what you mean on certain foods; I know I shouldn't, but I do, then wish I hadn't...LOL.
I truly hope you get back in your groove soon

I had 2 more carb blocks than pro and fat today... I feel pretty zoneful though.
I made it through the 3 mi WATP so that's a good thing. Got in 4 bottles of water and only 2 GTs, so will try to work another in during TV time
Tomorrow will be busy at work, so that means I have to pack my brekki and lunch...aacckk! Oh well...whatever it takes, yanno?

I think I may need to remeasure myself this weekend and recalculate my protein blocks.
I keep bouncing around between 12-13 blocks, and I think that may be to many. Anyway, I was forced to have breakfast at 0530; needless to say, I was sooooooo ready for my snack by 0830; then lunch at 1030! Those were the only times I could eat or else do without and I know what happens when I do that! So I had a snack at 1330 when I got home. I did the 2 mi WATP today; am in the process of preparing dinner at 1630. My schedule is off by about 2 hours here. LOL! Tomorrow should be more *normal*...whatever that is...hehe.
Have downed 4 bottles of water and 3 mugs of GT; I will most likely get one more of each in before bedtime. Now...do I dare do a sneak peak in the morning(Wednesday)?
Guess I will ponder on it overnight
Girlie, are you feeling better? Are you back in the zone yet?
(((hugs)))

shell, i cannot fathom 12 being too many. i think you are doing fine. if anything, it sounds like you *might* need to watch your carb blocks, but even that is negotiable.

Please do measure -- that is where the telling is. be wary of messing with what is working

i can't say if i'm in the zone or not -- too many other factors to even be able to tell. at least this is a more flexible plan while i'm off my feet for my family to be able to feed me...

Woohoo!!!!! I just got a call from work and some surgery cases cancelled, so I get to stay home today!!!! Yipeeee, skipeeee

Need to do some errands, go to the hfs, and then I plan on doing the 3 mi WATP AND possibly walking outdoors, if it warms up to what it is supposed to (54 predicted for today).

Had a very zoneful breakfast, 1 bottle of water, and 1 mug of green tea so far.
A good start, I think, to the day

Still missing ya, Brenda!
Girlie, hope you feel better soon!
Janell, you better be having a great time!!!!

Was zoneful today. 4 bottles of water and 4 mugs GT. I have really been eating right and good all month I sure hope the scales will be good to me on Sunday
If they are not, I may have to put them outside in the cold and snow and let them think about the hateful things they do. I WISH we could train our scales to be nice to us...hehe.
Ummm, kinda lonesome in here

I did better today. eggs and apples for brekkie, burger on WW with tons of veggies for lunch and a huge taco salad (only a couple bites of shell ) for dinner. Oh, I did have a snack -- an LC cookie. Not the greatest day, but better than I've been!

I think I drank 3 or 4 mugs of GT, but no KT today...

Here, Shell, this one's for you!

Hey, checking in finally. Missed you all and trust me, felt really guilty for disappearing on you both. Ack!

My zoning the last couple of months has been so loose as to hardly qualify, yet old habits are hard to break, and if I hadn't been so used to doing some kind of balancing, I know I'd be a lot worseoff than I am right now, which is with my jeans just barely making it if I suck in enough air to pass out!

The other factor has been my unwillingness to work out--boy does that compound the situation. I hate the winter blues......did I mention I hate the winter blues, LOL!

Sharron, I know a bit about your situation and I'm concerned about you.....
Shell, how are you doing? How's the foot???

Bren!!!!! YAY....sooooo glad you've popped in here. You were SO missed
Well....my foot(heel actually) is much the same. I am now doing Leslie Sansone's Walk away the pounds videos and it seems to be OK on my heel, at this time. Much less impact that fitness walking outdoors, but that is still what I long to do...LOL.
Anyhoo.....the scales don't seem to be moving for me, (again...what else is new?!)at the moment, but I'm hoping the muscle gain from the workouts is off setting the fat loss for the moment, ya know? As I said in the above post, most days it seems to take 13-14 blocks to stop the hungries I did a fitday check on a random day this week and the calories were 1597, which I'm afraid is to many. The fat and pro were where they should be, but the carbs were around 96 for the day; again, probably to many. As Sharron pointed out, I'm a little relunctant to tweak what might be working,(or might not, I just don't feel really strongly about it one way or the other).
Soooooo, you didn't ask for all that, did you
I'm just glad you are back. Hope your winter blues disappear soon. Have you thought about a trip to a tropical island? I might join you...we are getting snow, but since it's our first one of the season, I'm cool with it for now...but that may change...LOL.

Sharron...LOL...thanks for the little mad man on the scales...LOL. That's EXACTLY what I would like to do to them when they are hateful...jump up and down on them til they beg for mercy....muaaaaahhhhhhaaaaaaa...hehe

i did well yesterday -- dropped 3# of tom bloat.

dinner was yummy and quite zoneful. dh LC breaded some pork chops and dd made some cheesy rice-aflower and we had apple sauce and a glass of raw milk on the side. dh was a bit trepidatious about doing the chops, but he did great. yummers

WTG Sharron!!!! You sound in better spirits, girlie!

Was pretty much in the zone today DH and I went on dinner date to Johnny Carino's...a country Italian eatery. I had salad, grilled chicken with veggies, about a
one inch slice of bread with oil and balsamic....yummie. I opted to have some bread with my carb blocks and ditched the pasta, or rather...turfed the pasta to DH's plate...LOL. Got in 4 bottles of water, 4 mugs GT, and did the 3mi WATP today.
Tomorrow is WI, so wish me luck...I'll take all of it I can get I'm fearful I'm already in glacier speed mode
