OK, I have been evesdropping on you guys for about 3 months and decided to join you. I have been big for about 20 years and figures it was "Genegic". I have big people in my family. But I also have heart problems in my family. I have tried diets off and on for about 15 years. Last June I went in for my "yearly" and had to have stints put in my heart. I still have a couple of blockages to deal with. But when the Dr. said loose weight ...or else...
I began taking this seriously. I weigh in at 222 in July. I am about 48 pounds lighter now and still counting. I have been trying your recipes and have found that this is not a diet, but a life style, and I do not starve myself. I have been having a problem finding some of the ingredients you speak of and use in your recipes in Oklahoma, but I will persevere. I will pop in now and again and ask questions if I may. You sound like a Great group of caring people. I hope I can add to your group and become friends with many of you in the future.
I look forward to learning more from you, and to hopefully add to your forum.

Welcome, Duji!

Happy that you decided to "de-lurk." LOL!

You have done reallly well, thus far, and we're happy that you've decided to be a more active part of the forum. I'm sure many members will benefit from your experience.

Glad you're here to share.

You've done a great job getting off that weight!
222 was my starting weight, also. I'm down about 17 pounds and have quite a ways yet to go.

I'm so glad that you've decided to be a poster instead of a lurker. Leave a post if there are certain ingredients that you can't find and I'm sure there's someone here who can point you to an online source.

Welcome aboard, Duji! I love for lurkers to "come out of the closet"!

Be sure to keep in close communication with your doctor about your diet, and keep us posted on your progress, which is certainly commendable! Keep up the great work.

Ahhhhh...a fellow Sooner!
Welcome, duji! I find a lot of cooking ingredients at my local HFS here in OKC.
Post often and let us know how you're doing!
