| Hi Everyone, I haven't been on here for months....I haven't been dieting or trying to for months either. I have had my spine operation and I am now recovered and raring to go again. Unfortunately I don't know where to start............I have gained weight during the months that I have had to stay inactive so now I need to get myself together and start losing some of this blubber that I have gained. I need to read the posts to catch up with what's been happening in LC lately.......by the way, I love the new site....very nice indeed. Hopefully I will soon be back talking with some of you old and new buddies, ha-ha......... have missed you all. Take care, love Louloo. x

| LOULOO! Hey, it's good to see you back! I take it that your surgery went well, since you're "raring to go." Glad you've come home again.

| Louloo! I'm so glad you've recovered from your spine surgery. First things first you know! Have you decided on a plan (LC, Paleo, etc.)? I know we had discusses some of the problems you were running into......I was just curious about how your stomach is treating you these days. Take care and do visit again!

| Hi Maggie and Max, Thank you so much for the welcome. I had my spine op in September and was discharged this week. I can walk without pain in the legs but they can't do anything else to ease my back pain so I take morphine for this and it seems to help. I have to learn to pace myself which I am finding very difficult, ha-ha. My IBS is terrible as I have just been eating anything, no plan, not low fat or low carb. I only eat little and often but I have put on 7 pounds and I am now back to 12 stone...168 pounds. My doctor is doing a Celiac screen on Tuesday to see if anything shows up...she thinks it won't as I have a very sensitive bowel anyway....we will have to wait and see. I think, in fact I know that I have a wheat intolerance, I have proved it to myself time and time again. My Doctor said that if it does show up it would be a gluten free diet for the rest of my life. Atkins is more and more in the news here in the UK and it is said that all his ideas are not thought to have been rubbish anymore. I notice that with several of the popular diets here, weight-watchers and slimming-world, that they are now letting you have more fat and less carbs so LC is coming back into fashion, although I know it has never been out of fashion here. LOL So, this is where I stand....nowhere, but somewhere in the middle. I will wait and see the results before I totally make up my mind, but I lean towards Paleo as always. I have picked up a tummy bug so I feel horrible today, very sleepy still with all the drugs, but I can WALK, so that means everything to me and I will be able to start exercising as soon as I feel better. Take care everyone, I will be back soon. love Louloo. x

| Hi Sunny, Poor you having to have the op more than once. I have been told that I should be ok for about 5 years, so I will be happy with that. I also have nerve damage but they can't find out where it is coming from so I am still having tests for that. I do not regret having the decompression op in two places it has made such a difference to my life.....I am going to do as much as I can within the next few years just in case there is a problem after that. Good to hear that you are doing well on your diet. Catch you later, love Louloo. x

| Well, you will all be surprised to learn that I am getting rid of my computer....it has taken over my life the last few years so I will be glad to try and get my life back to near normal after my operation. I now have much more movement and I want to join a gym and go back to Pilates and do more walking and not stay here in the spare room on my computer. I now have a life that I can look forward to. A holiday in Malta just booked for May and lots of other things in the pipeline too. It is going to be very sad saying good bye to everyone that I have come to know so well. I am staying with paleo and now the shops in the uk are cramped with lc foods it makes it a lot easier to eat this way. If I am diagnosed as a Celiac I will still be able to follow Paleo, in fact that is the best way forme to eat, so I will be with you all in spirit if not here in the flesh. Take care and good luck to everyone and thanks again for all the help and inspiration that you have given me over the time I have spent here with you all. Be good, love Louloo. x
