Yes...that little gif girl is full of energy...LOL...I don't think she ever stops!

Got to stay home today as the surgery schedule was slow...woohoo!
Got in the 3 mi WATP already, downed 2 bottles of water; about to go make some lunch to stay in the zone I'm thinkin' some tuna dressed with mayo and dill weed, a couple of rivita crisps, and some fresh strawberries...yummers!
For dinner, I am making a big pot of taco soup with ground white meat turkey...yummers again :cook:
I am feeling really in the zone, and re-energized for the most part since starting the WATP videos...ordered 2 more this morning! WOOHOO! Life is good, I think

Well, ladies-I have returned from beautiful Hawaii. The weather was awesome-mid 70's each day with a gentle breeze. One day of rain out of 7 and that was a warm rain. We did all the right touristy things except Pearl Harbor-need a real reason to go back!--and really relaxed. We were staying at one end of Waikiki BEach and walked down it every morning. I was pretty focused on eating-I did enjoy all the fresh fruit but skipped a lot of desserts. We tried to be as active as we could and walked a lot. Went snorkling and saw all the great fish up close-it was wonderful. Came back Tuesday after 8 hrs. of flying to the snow of Wisconsin-we're having a warming trend right now so the shock wasn't absolutely as bad as it could be. Anyway--total of 2 lbs gained but I'm already working on getting rid of those. With the golden tan I brought back I want to look as healthy as I can. It was great to get caught up with you guys-glad to be back. I missed the encouragement and updates. Janell

Janell! Welcome home! Wow....sounds like you had a delightful time...good for you!
Bummer having to come back to the snow...blah! But at least you have a lovely tan...guess you can do some visualization exercises and place yourself back on the beach...LOL. A 2 lb. gain is great...not bad at all, lady I can do more damage than that in one weekend of bad eating...hehe.

Was pretty zoneful today.....well, one little indiscretion...I consumed about 3 fresh cut fries. So far hasn't affected me. Otherwise, I've been right on target
I did the 3 mi WATP when I got home; have gotten all my water in, and am now working on the GT .....sooooo good!

Again...glad you're back here with us, Janell.
Sharron, I know it may be awhile before you can get back with us...(((get well hugs))).

Well, kind of in limbo about dinner. Would like to go out for our dinner date, but at the same time, oven fried chicken with some cauli mashed fauxtatoes and fresh steamed broccoli sound pretty yummy also....hummmm...what to do??? I hate it when I turn *wishey-washey* like this....aaarrrggghhh!!!!!!!
Well, the good news for the day....I'm in the zone, I did the 2 mi WATP, and water and GT are going down good...heh
OH....and more good news....my order from Amazon came in...2 more WATP videos...woohoo.....a 4 mile super challenge WATP and a 3 mi WATP abs.
Alrighty.....that ought to keep boredom to a minimum...LOL.

Janell, I admire anyone who can hang with the treadmill. I had one for years. I did pretty well with it the first 2 years or so, using it in the winter when it was to icy or snowy to walk outdoors. Then, I guess I just got bored with it 'cause I am so much of an outdoor walker. Eventually, I found the only use for it was a clothes rack for hang up items and the first opportunity I had to sell that monster, I did!!!! LOL.
Anyway, so far I am very happy with the WATP videos.

Posted in my journal this am:

WAHAAA....it must be true....I'm in TORGLA mode (cross between tortoise and glacier)...LOL. No loss for me this week...just maintained! Hopin' the muscle gain is *masking* the weight loss.
Hope everyone has a good week...try and stay out of TORGLA-ville!

more later...

Very zoneful today except had 2 more pro blocks than carbs and fat blocks. I am thinking about trying to get by with NO snacks in am and afternoon, and just have a snack before bedtime. I might could keep my blocks at 11-12 that way instead of ending up with 13-14 block days. I think I may already be to the point of looking at cutting down on the calories :( I will wait a full 6 weeks to see where I am at that point. Feb 14th will be my 6 wk mark.

Have to re-cert in ACLS tomorrow(advanced cardiac life support). I will be in class ALL DAY.....AARRGGHH! The good thing though, is I won't have to recert for 2 years...yippee...skippee

alrighty then....

Sounds like a busy day for you Shelley with that certification!

I've been watching the vacation lbs. drift off and am feeling pretty good about it-if things continue I should have a solid 3 lbs. gone by Saturday--I know I'm being positive but I'm wiggling between 2 and 3 now so am very hopeful. I think being too busy at work to have time to go prowling for an am snack has been helpful-and by mid afternoon I'm usually looking for something liquid so have been filling up on water. I think I'm staying between 12 and 13 blocks so think I'm ok-as long as I keep on that treadmill enough mornings. All that said, i have a quilting getaway planned for Friday night and Saturday so know there will be non-zone (i.e. really fattening!) treats planned--so I'll have to get my thinking cap on and plan ahead again. But with the return to pre-vacation numbers at least I'll be stable!!! janell

Ooooohhh, Janell...a quilting getaway...how fun! I do applique as a hobby. I make sweatshirts, denium shirts, jumpers, tees, cardigans, and I have done some of my scrubs also! I love to applique, but since going back to work full time, my sewing time is almost non existent... :(

Had a couple more carb blocks than fat and pro today...sheeeesh...so kinda struggled in the afternoon. Passed the test and re-certed today, so I'm very glad that is out of the way

Guess that's it for now...Sharron, miss ya bunches, girlie
Brenda....come on in for a visit, will ya?
Janell...til next time
