Hey guys, Do any of you know how similar the South Beach Diet detox (that's what they call it, right?) is to an Atkins induction? Could two people on different diet plans do the first two weeks together with minimal issues? Thanks, L

They are very, very close. Basically, the only difference is that SBD does not limit your veggie intake and it encourages low fat cheeses and butter spray, in an effort to make the diet low fat, as well. Vicki

Vicki is right about the difference in the two. I think the SBD allows more carbs or than the Atkins does. I first saw the SBD which made me want to do low carb but when I checked into the Atkins diet, it seemed easier in the way of watching what you eat on induction so I went with it. Also, I did find that on the Atkins I lost the cravings, however I noticed on the SBD they allowed some things during detox that I think would have made me keep the cravings for sweets and carbs. shawny
