You know, if you think of what percentage of your total weight that five pounds really is, that's where you may find the answer. The more we have to lose, the faster we lose it, especially in the beginning. We have lots of dedicated vets around here who have or are going through what you are now, Patti Sue. Most importanly, do not get discouraged over five pounds. Being a fitness trainer you already know that!

When we got stuck, sometimes we'd eat more than normal one day & then cut back a lot for the next couple of days and that would kind of "kick start" it again. (that was when we were still on Atkins but it would probably work for SB too.)

I wil try that, scale back for a few days ......

Another question .. I advise clients of mine that I train to weigh in only once a week .... what are your thoughts about that? I find some folks jumping on and off the scale daily ...

Patti Sue - Really pay attention to the calories you are eating and cut back a bit. Sometimes portion control will help with getting over a stall.

I second pianomom's tip: Take a break from the diet for the day, put on a pound or two, then let the guilt make you cut back. Works for me. And I, by that way, am 5 pounds from my goal (I was actually 3 pounds away but pigged out this weekend!)

Another bit of advice: the diet got you this far; KNOW it can get you the last little bit. Don't rush; you'll get there. I did.
