| I haven't tried the SBD but a friend at work just started it w/her husband. They seem to be having good luck, they pretty much just follow his advice and use the recipes. I'm sure this didn't help much-let us know how it is going for you. Good Luck! Sheila |

| I don't have any pointers, but I can tell you I started on 8/18 and have lost 10 pounds. I lost 10 pounds the first 10 days but haven't lost any since then. I'm not giving up though! My friend started the same time I did and she has lost 12 pounds. Some of the recipes are not very good so I make my own food using the food list. Good Luck! |

| I lost about 8 lbs in the the 1st week. Only 2 in the second and then I nothing in the 3rd this is my 4th week and I have combined Atkins with South Beach. I do a low fat version of low carbs. Turkey Burgers and Turkey Bacon. Anything low fat as long as it doesn't have more carbs then the full fat version. 177/162/125 LC since 8/8/03 |

Hi, I started south beach diet Aug. 13 and have lost 15 lbs. I have found you do have to go by the book, I did have a free weekend and gained about 3 lbs but have lost 2 lbs of that by going back to phase one. I feel so much better and am finally in control of my food instead of the food controlling me. Jumping for joy. Peanut |

| I did Atkins for two weeks and lost 8 pounds. Would probably have been more, but I did slip a few times during week 2-stress! I began SB 9/29 and am scheduled for a weigh-in tomorrow (Monday). Actually, I think I'm doing a sort of combination between Atkins and SB, but it seems to work for me so far. I'll be able to tell better after tomorrw, so will let you all know.
