Default Final Push

Okay, this is it. This month, I will make my goal. I started on Jan. 1, and weighed 236 lb. My original goal was 170. I've gotten as low as 173 but now am hovering around 175-176. My wife graduated college and my son graduated high school, and we had a lot of out-of-town guests during the month of May. So my weight loss stalled out. On the plus side, I've only put a few pounds back on, despite not following the diet very religiously (maybe there's life after Phase II?)

Anyway, in the next week or two or three, I will get down to 170 lb. For some reason, this seems harder than starting the diet. I'm down to the nitty gritty.

It seems like I do well with motivation/goal. Yesterday, my sons played at an youth orchestra benefit: It's a 10k run. I've already been walking on work days with my coworkers. I think I'll start jogging on my off days, with a goal of running in the 10k run next year. (Or maybe even a different one this fall if I do well.)

You've had tremendous success and I'm sure you'll reach that final goal in time. The 10K sounds like a big challenge for next year but with your success already I'm sure you'll be running one in no time!

Well... I'm finally moving again. While we had out-of-town visitors, it was hard to stick to the diet due to eating out, etc. Now that they've left, things are getting easier again. I finally got back to 173 lb., and this morning was a pound or so below that. A couple more pounds, and I'm at goal.

My diet thus far:

After losing weight quickly on SBD, these last few pounds are taking some serious work! I am now ONE POUND from my goal, so I think I'll get there in the next week. Here is my diet progress:

Heh... after making my goal earlier in the week, I celebrated a bit too much and gained back to about 172-173. I spent the rest of the week trying to get back to 170. I want to try to stabilize at 170, and then if I gain a pound or two back try not to worry too much.
