Phase III

Default Phase III

So... I made it. My goal was 170 lb., and I hit it yesterday. I planned to indulge a little bit when I made it, and after dinner I had some cherry pie for desert.... consequently, I bounced back up just a bit.

But my real point is this: What is Phase III really like, anyway? I'm thinking about pretty much staying on Phase II, but indulging in things I really shouldn't have once in a while. Anybody out there have any Phase III advice?

We try to keep our weight between our goal and 3-4 lbs. above, if that makes sense. I don't think it's possible to keep it always at the "perfect" number. It will move a little depending on what we've eaten. You're allowed "cheats" or "treats" once in a while. When we do that, we just try to "be good" for a few days til the weight goes back down. We've noticed that even though most of the time we're eating the right stuff, we still have to be careful of the amounts. Just keep a close watch on your weight so you don't suddenly realize that you've got 10 lbs to lose again! lol

sounds exactly like me, also... I set a limit of how much I allow myself to gain, usually 2-3 pounds, then I cut back til I lose it. I splurge when I really want to, but by setting a low limit and a high limit for my weight, I find it easier to maintain.

So, I went on vacation, far away from scales, for a week. I frequently pigged out and was afraid to weigh myself upon returning home. The final verdict: I only gained one pound.
