Default I'm back! :)

I've been away for about a year. I found out I was pregnant in October 2004 and planned on eating LC throughout my pregnancy. Well... let's just say that didn't happen.

Then, told myself I'd give myself until beautiful little Abigail was 6 months old before returning to LC. Well, now I'm back a little earlier, and hopefully to stay. I had gotten down to about 13 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight without watching what I was eating. Then, I started gaining. This time I want to keep it in check. I gained 50 pounds after DD#1 because I just let things go, and I don't want that to happen again.

I have done both Carb Addict's and Atkins. Now I am going to return to Carb Addict's. It's the one where I have to think the least which is what I need right now. Hopefully I won't have any problems doing it while nursing. I have a friend who had blood sugar problems with it while nursing, but can't imagine why.

I tried to start this past Saturday, but found myself too hungry and too cranky. So delayed my start until a day that I would just have little Abigail, so as not to bother my DH and DD#1 too much.

Did things a bit different this morning. Had sausage w/cheese and green beans, instead of scrambled eggs w/cauliflower and cheese. Thought the extra fat might keep the hunger monster at bay, and so far so good.

I know I'm going to need to be real careful not to lose too quickly since I'm breastfeeding. I've always lost really well with CAD/CALP, so I'll be keeping a close eye on things and adjusting from there.

Glad to be back!

Debby,

Welcome back. Congrats on the little one! Have you posted any pictures?

I hope you are happy with CAD/CALP this time around. I know you had a struggle with it for a while. I do understand the easiness of it. Hopefully, the hunger will cntrol itself when you are eating balanced RM's. I know that was always a signal for me. A balance RM didn't lead to morning hunger. A unbalanced RM did lead to morning hunger.

Take care and check in often!

Hi Debby!!! Congratulations! I'm still browsing the boards, still fat as always. I'm actually looking into the adjustable gastric band. I thought about bypass but couldn't do that to my body. I need some help.

Glad to see you're back

Karen
