| I was researching high fat diets and I keep running into information that high fat diets restrict testosterone levels and libido, and therefore erection hardness. I have been on Neanderthin for 2 weeks now (as best I can) and love it due to the fact I don't have large blood sugar swings and feel better than ever. I take suppliments to increase testosterone and erection strength but I don't want my diet to be working against me. I realize this is an adult topic but I suspect everyone here is mature enough to handle this inquiry. Anyone notice any difference in erection strength, libido, or testosterone levels while on the diet? Thanks, Ben |

| Ben, Being female, can't say that I have any experience with this, but I wondered if you've read Weston Price's "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration"? I'm ordering it today, so I don't have the page reference handy, but if you can get a hold of a copy, you might especially be interested in the passage regarding the native Americans' "Bear Diet." Dr. Price asked a tribe member why none of their women were barren and was told, basically, if a newlywed couple doesn't produce a child within an expected time frame, the husband would go on a bear meat/fat-only diet for about 6 weeks, until he was so vigorous as to make her weary of him, but he *would* "make her a mother in nine months." They were, of course, paleo already, but this is interesting info on this subject! Fluffy |

| I am a guy on Atkins, and I have not had any problems over the 2 years I have been on it. I realize that it is a different diet, but the ammount of fat that I can take can range from 50-80% of my calories.
