Thumbs down disapointed

okay I weighed in today. I am disappointed. Down only 1 pound. I measured though and after taking all the measurements it showed I was down 3 inches in my chest, 1/2 inch waist and 1/2 inch hips. Is that possible? To lose inches and only lose 1 pound? Fustrated!!

You shouldn't be disappointed just because you only lost 1 lb but you DID lose inches. I almost went one month without any weight loss I didn't measure myself but my jeans felt a lot looser. Hang in there. I do a lot of bouncing from lbs. to lbs. BUT I'm still lossing weather it be lbs. or inches. Exercise can make you retain water.... I've found that out personally... How long have you been LCing?

ok I checked out your profile and it said you just started the 15th of this month is that right? Well it is totally normal to start slowing down after your induction loss. 1 -2 lb loss a week is normal after induction and if you have lost 6 lbs in 9 days I'd call that GREAT!!!

Don't give up!!

Your Right, Your Right...I started around the 15th so 6 pounds down is good. I just need to stay focused,,,,focused!!! Drinking my gallon of water as I write this....going to do my 3 mile watp video in just a few minutes!! Boy, this weighing in once a week is hard to do...I can't imagine just weighing in once a Month....I will work up to that!!

I found that my body's reaction is alternating.
I will some some lbs, and then no weight while my body is 'resizing'. Lose a few inches, then I;ll lose a few more lbs, etc, etc.
It never seems to happen in the same time periods for me.

This must be the day for dissapointment! I also weighed this morning and lost only ONE pound! I haven't measured myself though, so inches I am not sure about. I had to be up at 5 this morning to go to the doctor an hour away from home, so I left home with out eating breakfast! ( BIG MISTAKE) Got bad news at the doctor's office, and my stomach was growling I was almost sick I was so hungry so I ran through Burger King and got a Biscuit and Sausage.... I KNOW... I messed up! FRUSTRATED is right! I will do better the rest of the day....

I was thinking I was HUNGRY! I was down and out and I couldn't find anything to eat at a fast food place! I KNOW, I KNOW I messed up! Easy on me.......LOL
Well I had to go to the gynocologist this am.... not a real good report .... and my blood pressure was SKY HIGH! So had to leave there and go to my regular doctor for a BP check up, he put me on medication.... For lunch I had grilled chicken and green beans!!!!! Is that better ?

oh yes - this is very possible and it happens all the time. Us gals also have the monthly fluxuations to deal with.... certain days you can actually go up in pounds due to fluid retentions, etc.

that is one reason many people swear off the scale and use their clothing or a tape measure as a guide to true loss.

it can be very frustrating and disappointing

I too had almost and entire month where i didnt lose an ounce - then the following month, just like that - 9 pounds were gone in 4 weeks.

So, just hang in there, follow your diet and you'll be fine... and dont forget your water!

I've experienced the same thing---have done really well and seen little to no weight loss--and in the past that disappointment has led me down the "what's the point then?" path to just giving up. I've not lost much in the past couple weeks but people I see weekly have been asking me how much I've lost because I look thinner than the week before. My scales aren't showing much change, but my clothes are looser (yay!) . A couple weeks ago I would have bet money I gained a bit because I didn't really do well with watching what and how much I ate, and I ended up losing 3 lbs. Last week I did better and only lost 1/2 lb. Huh??!! I guess I'm just saying what everyone else has said--don't let the scale fool you! Try to go more by how you feel and how your clothes are fitting.
