Default Doing the Makers Diet

I'm currently incorporating alot of rules of the makers diet into my wife and I's diet. For those not familiar with this book it is a low carb book based upon eating methods used back in the biblical times and based on what God called clean and unclean meats. I've been at it for about three weeks now along with steady excercise and weight lifting every morning. To this point I've lost about 6lbs. I would guess. (I didn't weigh myself when I started) I'm currently 6'4 and 280lbs. My target weight is 225lbs not sure that will ever happen, but that's my target weight. More importantly though is enhancing my overall health and quality of life. Every day I can tell that I have more and more energy and if I don't excercise especially I'm dragging. So things are going pretty well so far. I I can pull the waistline of my jeans probably 2 inches from my waist and they were snug when I started. It's been a challenge, but has been very rewarding thus far.

Default Re: Doing the Makers Diet

That's great! I really like the book What the Bible Says About Healthy Living by Rex Russell. It's been a huge help as I try to follow a Bible based diet (clean vs. unclean foods etc.) but I'm eating vegetarian with fish maybe once a week now due to RA. My only problem is I shouldn't eat gluten due to celiac but I have trouble with this since it is so prominant in the Bible. If it is such a staple, why is it so bad for me type of thing. I do try to eat a clean diet and sure feel better when I do. I fight it sometimes, mostly this last year, my rebellion and stubbornness has been on high gear. I'm settling out though and feeling better because of it.
